I wonder how the rest of the new Overwatch team reacted to Reinhardt and Brigitte returning to Gibraltar with a Bastion unit in tow? Some of them have actually faced some in battle (Tracer and Mercy faced them in archives) and might bear some negative feelings. Many of the rest grew up after the war only hearing about the horrors of the Bastion units trampling cities.

I suppose Reinhardt, who has the most reason to hate them, vouching for our favorite birdwatching character will go a long way to paving the way for his acceptance. Wish there was a bit more interaction detailed after the cliffhanger played.

I’m pretty sure Tracer and others would have more positive feelings, selling Reinhardt, Brigitte and especially Torbjorn confident of this Bastion unit. In the codex unlocked by completing the Ironclad chapter with Bastion there is an interaction with Zarya that feels more like an awkward scene rather than a real (and legitimate) anti-omnic sentiment on Zarya’s part. Ok, there’s Searching that made her change her mind, but I don’t find her so insensitive to the fact that it’s a Bastion, don’t you think?

The next PVe I find more interesting because we see the return of Talon, and I suppose if the next tank hero is Mauga there will be more baptiste stories. or maybe a full-talon mission, although I’m not sure how they could introduce that. For now the only detail that I find annoying is that the villains have only one healer as a choice (moira). moreover the developers will have to prove that they are not recycling the archives AI this time. I suppose there will be big references to storm rising.

In the lore of the protagonists I find it extremely plausible that there will be a recruitment mission for Orisa, again defending Numbani from the return of Doomfist who may have the support of the Null Sector. it is quite clear, after the novel her of numbani.
