My friend and I have been talking about a Widow change that I think would be great.
I think it will make it easier to deal with her in lower elos. It wouldn’t fix her at the Top 500 but who cares, 90% are never going to reach that anyways.
The change is simple, make her have a visible line of site like the red line from the old PVE snipers. This will make it so that Widow can’t hard scope without people knowing where she is, meaning she will need to take more time between shots allowing more chances for people to switch cover.
In exchange, I would buff her range by maybe 5-10 meters since everyone will be able to see where she is shooting from.
What do you all think?

Its not hard to tell where she might be on maps… If you ever play widow or watched someone play widow u will know almost every single position there is that she can go to. In lower elos most widows dont change their position to often because they figured if they can get a few shots off and that position its working… only time they really move is if someone is coming right towards them or ur team has a widow also and can headshot her before the enemy widow headshots them.
Its not exactly hard if you pay attention to ur surroundings and always play corners until u or ur team pings where she is.

If you see it, your team is already 4v5
If you don’t see it, it’s a deathcam

Yeah thats no always true… Its easy to tell which maps there will be a widow on… So u should already be trying to locate her or know the possible position they could be at… Its not hard depending on the map.
Plus just assume there is always gonna be a widow on the enemy team and play accordingly… If your just going to go out guns blazing thats on u if you die to snipe… U werent paying attention
I dont see why people think she is so oppressive.

Instead of a dead giveaway line at least some sort of glint on her scope when she’s looking down it. Like you know she’s over that way when you peek but at the distance she’s at its hard to get a good read more often than not.
Widow isn’t even oppressive in low elo since y’all can’t aim. So no, let’s not buff her more
