If you guys have not already seen it, a YouTuber named Blame The Controller - Overwatch, has made a video experimenting with the idea of Mei becoming a tank.

He explains that Mei has become very situational, and because of how long a character takes to develop, a situational character makes little sense and turns the development and creation of the character a general waste of time.
I think at the very least, the dev team should try them on the experimental card and see how it works. And with the fact that he was able to make the changes using the workshop tool, it proves that it wouldn’t be very hard to try out.
Mei is practically a half tank, and her abilities all seem to act the way an off-tank would. Especially her wall, which can block incoming damage and create or block a choke point.
I as a tank main, think that it would be very beneficial to switch her over because it would make Mei less situational, get some more playtime, and add some more choices for the tank roster.
