Maybe even just a tracking cheat. Thought it wasn’t possible but a recent stream from a friend who went up against a bastion (YES a bastion, as if that hero doesn’t have enough of a bad rep) looks VERY sus.
Time stamp: 3:36:30
I didn’t really see any examples of wall hacking? His movements when tracking were weird, you’re right on that but idk about the wall hack, unless I missed it. Stopped watching after a while.
Its might just be a tracking cheat but there were clear instances of the bastion being aware of things behind walls that he shouldn’t have been.
My immediate concern is that I thought this wasn’t possible on console because of architecture. If that’s wrong then its a huge red flag that needs to be addressed ASAP.
I dont really see anything out of the ordinary. The initial tracking on that first kill of zarya was pretty darned good but I think he just has a good setup of his control zones so that small movements give precision and then being able to get good large flicks.
In cases of wall hacking, I presume you mean like the case of the DVa. He knew you were there because you can hear her just moment before he looked there, then it’s simple guessing that that’s where she is since she’s obviously not standing on the ledge.
For example, 3:39:35 you can hear the dva.
Last thing I saw was he on payload and he saw the DVA behind him. DVA has very loud footsteps so he might have just heard it in that instance? But if you have any more time stamps feel free to share
Best case scenario is this player was on MnK but even still, near perfect tracking of most targets? It was more noticeable on his engagement with Sombra. Something was clearly trying to track her but the player couldn’t correct for errors, so instead he ended up tracking perfectly but shooting just behind her.
I think you’re just mistaking basic technique for good tracking. In most instances he’s not even tracking at all. For example at 3:42:15, you or your friend exclaim “look at him track through the wall!” - except hes not. He’s not moving his crosshair at all he’s just walking to the right and matching junkrats movement. As long as JR keeps moving right as well it’s going to appear like the crosshair is following him, but that’s just an illusion.
To be quite frank if this is M+K they actually have pretty garbage tracking.
I watched about a minute of it, he looked pretttty BAD to me. You guys are silver? He looked like maybe he is SLIGHTLY better than silver (but not really)…maybe you could show a time stamp that actually shows his “cheating?”
Xbox One is a pretty closed ecosystem, it’d be ridiculously hard to get extra software running for this, let alone work while playing online. I enter this with a lot of scepticism.
It’s most likely sound cues and a lot of trust in the aim assist built into the game. Sometimes aiming on console is a lot more art than science.
Look at his engagement with the Sombra. Something is very off about his aim. Either he’s just not that good on MnK or if he’s using a cheat, again I thought those weren’t possible, user error messed up his tracking otherwise those would have been perfectly landed shots every time.
Like I said all I saw was about a minute of it because nothing looked weird. Are you talking about the initial engagement where he landed shots? Are you just not used to seeing that in silver…or…??
Which engagement with Sombra? On first point, or right after the Junkrat thing?
Neither seemed suspicious. The first time he was just walking with her. Her movement was extremely linear and predictable so he didn’t even have to aim. Once the crosshair is on her you just walk in the same direction and unless they move it’s gonna remain on her since both heroes move at the same speed. The time after JR is mostly the same as well with some minor adjustments but not that hard. He knew Sombra was there cause you can hear the translocator moment earlier.
It was the engagement before the first checkpoint where he tracked her perfectly but was hitting just behind her. Shouldn’t be possible on console in silver, since it is silver.
That doesn’t make it wallhack tracking super aimbot cheat on console!!
Just saying. Nothing looks weird here so, moving on.
That speaks more to smurfing than cheating? Don’t even think that’s a mouse.
So then, was it just a bad MnK user? Verifying helps because if cheats are sneaking through to console we kinda do need to know.
Looks like controller to me. If this was M+K I would actually say they have really bad tracking.
It also doesn’t look like there’s any cheating involved.
Ok I just watched a bit further and I’m now 100% certain it’s neither aimbotting or wall hacks.
There’s a point where the girl exclaims “he was staring right at that Junkrat” but like 10 seconds earlier the Bastion walks up the stairs to the window, it took him a good moment to notice Junkrat was there even though if he was wall hacking he definitely would of seen him while moving to the window.
Also on the aim bot thing, I definitely thing that he just has good aim and also the people on your team are moving very predictably. He’d been getting way more kills/headshots if it was an aimbot. I think you guys kinda convinced yourselves otherwise, in the whole round he didn’t really even contributed majorly to his team winning.
His movement is weird tho, maybe console players just move weirdly.
It’s almost certainly a controller. There is a moment where he walks with Sombra to track her, and is mostly hitting body shots. That’s a very controller movement thing to do, because sometimes with a controller it’s better to move with your target than to try to use the aim stick. Keep your aim trained on them/their head, and then use the movement stick to keep it in place.
I have yet to see someone on console using a controller with this degree of tracking capability and if they had anything close to it they have ZERO business being in a silver game.
