Possibility of virtual reality content?

Ever since the thought popped into my head I haven’t been able to stop thinking how insanely cool it would be to be able to explore the maps (and other game assets) in vr – just imagine walking through abandoned lunar stations and exploring old French mansions, taking in the details and truly feeling the scale of the maps. Overwatch’s art style would be perfect for virtual reality too.

The fast paced gameplay of the core modes would make everyone seasick in vr, but I have no doubt simple exploration and maybe wave shooter type minigames would work perfectly. 1v1 too. However I’d personally pay for a vr dlc even if it didn’t have any new content, just for the exploration alone.

Do you think there’s any chance of Overwatch vr content?

I think I would crap my pants if I ever turned around and saw a Rein charging at me lmao

We can at least experience Mei and Doomfist too lol.

And I would love a vr Overwatch. I can already imagine how exciting it will be when I use Mercy. Though, I want MMORPG first tbh.

Doom I don’t care about, but if I see a VR Mei smiling at me as she chain freezes me I think I’d scream

Would probably be in my nightmares for weeks

I know one corner of the internet that would want some VR Overwatch content…

As if I don’t have enough fear and paranoia playing the game now…

Yeah, it would be a lot of fun to play. But with how movement is handled in most VR games and that it would block out a lot of non-VR players, I doubt we’ll ever see anything.

The matches would certainly be slower paced, but man the immersion would be something else. Pharah would be an interesting one to play, I’d probably be hurling after five minutes…

1v1 and wave shooter type minigames could work pretty smoothly I imagine.

I can somewhat relate, had once a cave bear ghost out of nowhere right next to me in Skyrim VR. Never been closer to a heart attack :expressionless:

At least it wasn’t a Draugr Deathlord or a frost troll

Or a snowy sabre cat…

Skyrim felt like a horror game on the 360, I can’t even imagine how VR must feel
