As far as players not knowing common ow terms like “LOS” etc etc you can blame the lack of an indepth training being implemented by blizzard. The tutorial should teach all the intricacies of overwatch or at least make a good attempt too. It doesn’t. It has never done so. Basically, if you’re not doing your own research, watching videos on YouTube or watching pro play and sifting forums for answers as a casual players you’d have no idea what the terminology means or what you’re supposed to do. I understand the information is out there to be learned but it should be accessible IN GAME. My uncle and his nine year old son tried to play overwatch. Keep in mind my uncle isn’t really a gamer and his son is, but isn’t quite mature enough to grasp the complexities of overwatch yet…anyways…my uncle gave it up completely after like 10 minutes. The nine year old finds it fun, sort of, but gives up the moment he has a couple bad games. Keep in mind…the nine year old is playing it completely wrong. There is nothing to teach players how to play. Big problem
