So I’m seeing a lot of people hating on the event, and I want to know: yay or nay?

As for my option, issa No. Only a few heros got anything, all of the quality of skins were moot compared to last year or even previous events, and I’m not a fan of Lucioball.

They skipped out on giving heros both voice lines and sprays, and the skins don’t sit well with me because I’m not a sports fan, and it’s for heros that I don’t play (Rein, Dva, Winston).

The only thing remotely interesting is the Mei emote, but literally it’s her 10th emote. I had to literally pray that Pharah didn’t get a skin because of the quality of this year’s skins.

For me, this is the #1 worst event, which replaces Retribution since I played it once and didn’t care after, compared to Uprising which I played the heck out of.

This seems to be the first event where the content is lacking, even taking the quality of skins aside.

If you want to truly make a difference, don’t cave in and buy loot boxes. We need to show how much this event displeased everyone, so they can correct it for the upcoming Halloween event and future events.

I really love to support them with lootboxes but for sure not this even, it’s literally worse than I thought! Nothing new just a few skins who are all Meh but Anas Skin!

I’m actually a little relieved they didn’t add a hundred voicelines and sprays for each character, it was getting close to annoying me in the other events. I’m glad the new characters got enough to bring them close to the existing roster’s amount, but I’m not going to be hurting for a hundred more I’m never going to use. I don’t know why everybody is hating on the skins either; I don’t even like sports and love how detailed these new ones are(though admittedly not so interested as to spend credits to buy them). Even though I love Lucioball and plan on playing competitively again, I’d say the biggest letdown is simply no new game mode to mix it up.

Since I’m more positive so far than negative, I guess I’d vote… slightly yay?

This is the worst event ever… I Hope at least halloween Will not be ruined like this and they Will make stuff for Every Hero and more skins…

They even seems like they even stole stuff for make them in the OWL all-access pass, tracer and Genji skin and Lucio emote would be great for this event. But no, they left this event with almost nothing…

this event was an insult to the community. I can understand why you wouldn’t want hundreds of little things but it should maintain the amount of content as before. 1 emote?
6 legendaries?
We have 28 heroes that people possibly main. Half of those mains got absolutely nothing. Only 1/5 of the mains got anything of signifigance at all.

For me its a combination of Lucioball being the exact same mode as last year (no evolution like powerups, different heros/abilities or different map-layout) and the lack of cosmetics. Not necessarily the lack of legendaries, but other things like interesting epic skins, emotes or intros.

It’s exactly the same as last year AND the year before, its fine if you’ve never done summer games before but for the people who have it’s a bit of a slap in the face.

But even us newbies who joined since last summer games got to play Lucioball during the last Anniversary event, I figured the way the did Anniversary they’d have a lot of new stuff for events (at least a second summer games mode) going forward but nah.

But this is how summer games has ALWAYS been. What’s the issue? This is a low-intensity event with nice skins. That’s always been the formula. The high-intensity event is the Archives event with uprising and retribution. Other high-intensity events are Halloween and Winter Wonderland.

You can’t have ALL the events be high-intensity. People have real lives, and we JUST had the anniversary event!

I am Neutral… Because I am not really exited, but hey it is new stuff.

That being said I am very surprised how many people really don’t like it.

If you want people to continue to be interested in your product you have to give them new things, not the same thing you gave them last year and the year before. (also we got it during the anniversary event AS WELL)

Also the anniversary was months ago and that was pretty disappointing as well, the only good thing about it was the chance to play PvE again a couple of days a week.

I’m fine with this, characters that didn’t have anything related to summer games got skins now. And Ana follows the cabana theme Widow got last year.

This said Symm was ignored again… Gymnast Symm to match the spray plzkthxbye.
