Buddy I am trying to figure out your side of this lol, that’s why I was asking a question. Where else do I go to find out info on the Sombra changes from a Sombra player? The Overmoji cafe? Some thread about your favourite ship? You gave me an answer to what I was questioning, thanks lol
So make D.va Pharah? Sounds like fun lol
Here, there are like a gazillion of posts
WE ARE VERY UPSET I MUST TELL YOU
Sombra invisibility and Soldier sprint are two very different abilities, on two very different characters. If I wanted to play Soldier 76, wouldn’t I have done that?
We didn’t ask for a different playstyle or a major rework. The last series of buffs was a huge leap in the right direction. Giving Sombra more of a chance to not exist in the game is not.
Please, Blizzard. Don’t push these changes through. So regarding the Sombra changes This is what we want.
I don’t like them. They’re making Sombra move slower, when she should be moving faster. Having infinite Stealth will also mean a lot of players aren’t going to be helping their team dealing damage, but will just run around basically doing nothing. Next to this, having to cancel your Translocator makes Sombra’s flow much more awkward.
I don’t like this at all.
The game provides you with tighter constraints than her cooldowns. Infinite TL or Stealth are complete misdirections. What matters is what we lost to pay for them, which is a lot.
Unless you want to leave your teams 5v6 the entire match.
A good Sombra player minimises the time they spend out of battle. A good Sombra player doesn’t need infinite durations. This serves to reward bad players and punish good players. All we wanted was two things:
- bug fixes
- her kit to feel less clunky and more fluid
Yeah seems like it, I always find it interesting to see the different perspectives on changes. Like with the Ana one, everybody who played Ana for like 1 minute thought it was cool but actual Ana players hated it.
This is so true, Blizz needs to give us what we want for once
especially when we all give 100 different suggestions? its not easy figuring out what the community wants
as for the topic…i dont think the changes are “nerfs” but i also dont think any of them are really helpful outside of the translocator cancel…her issues will remain (ie…not being in the fight)
Yeah the changes are just changes, not buffs, not nerfs. The problem is that they’re changing unessecary things about her kit. Infinite stealth is just not needed.
I don’t feel like it’ll really solve her problems. Entering fights with Stealth and escaping them with Translocate was never a huge issue.
I feel like so long as Blizzard try to pretend that Hack isn’t an inherently flawed mechanic, Sombra is going to be permanently F tier.
Yeah i strongly agree.
I’m against them, but not entirely. As they stand this is an overall nerf to Sombra.
The infinites won’t actually change outcomes for Sombra at all as far as I can tell. Less for people to worry about, but no one who plays Sombra regularly were worrying about them anyway. I see those as basically neutral.
Take those out, and you’re left with a set of nerfs.
The changes themselves though are not that much of a problem. The real problem is the missed opportunity to make changes that Sombra mains have actually been asking for. The real question is what made Blizz think this is what she needed? Something no one asked for that transparently won’t help her numbers in any way.
doesn’t infinite stealth take this problem away? pop out of stealth, get a kill pop in, never having to use her translocator until shes about to die. shes becoming more like tracer, who the forums cry over daily.
I voted, but it would have been nice to have more fleshed out options. Maybe something like this;
-
Like both changes.
-
Like stealth, but not translocator.
-
Like translocator, but not stealth.
-
Like neither.
Or something along those lines.
I like the translocator change, but not the stealth one personally, but that is because of the 3200 hours in TF2 where C&D spies sat the afk waiting for the right time that never came around and see it happening an low-mid elo in OW… That and even as a Mercy player half the time hide and seek still seems boring to me.
It adds to downtime as you can do less in stealth and youre slower.
It helps players without time management and does little for experts.
I mean, the buff is meant to make her stronger, not to cater to sombra mains. lots of sym mains didn’t like the changes she got, but guess what? shes better now.
Really I think they should make cancelling the translocator a different keybind. Having to look at it in order to cancel it is very inconvenient. Infinite time for it though is great
Infinite invisibility is worth testing out, but I think in this type of game it will be VERY OP… she will literally be able to walk up to enemies to gun point and kill them instantly, then translocate out and repeat. Invisibility having a time limit makes her have to take a risk for a reward. Now it just seems like it will be no risk high reward
It makes her just easier but worse. Symm is reverse, they made her harder but better.
