is really sad that on ow2 with a *better report system, the game still have a system where a lot of players can ban off meta players with massive false reports.

I assume you are the one banned? What were you doing to draw the attention of enough other players to trigger the automatic ban system? Did you say toxic things?

Iâm not opposed to it, they just need to handle it in a FAR more timely manner.
They got our stupid phone numbers, so how about a push notification with the ability to contact more directly and appeal it?
Appeals should also be more readily handled and done too.
it really would be as simple as to make ppl dislike you in text chat, because they tend to remember you forever and ever, some ppl never get over their grudges. i still regularly play with some thrower from 4 years ago that i said something toxic to, i dont even have chat on anymore, hes still throwing my games lol.
I think that since ftp phase they need to make it much more agressive

no. but i already get the msg that i get reported a lot for sabogate gameplay. the next step is the eautomatic ban
As a PSN player, Iâd like to see anyone banned for anything ever. Be glad youâre seeing the system actually doing something.
They really should do something about the automatic ban system. Itâs way too easy to abuse. All it takes is one toxic group of players to all agree to report you and then you lost access to your game.
I literally just experienced getting falsely mass reported by a toxic stack in arcade no limits all because I wouldnât pick the character they wanted me to play.
They went as far as to accuse me of being racist and saying all kinds of things I never said just to try and get everyone on the enemy team to report me as well. All of this just because I didnât pick the right character. You donât even have to use the communication and voice chat features in this game to get reported. Itâs so dumb.

lol i should be happy when i see that they ban every single player that i report for toxic chat , or true gameplay sabotage. also hacks. but i dont like a system where a lof of meta players can ban off meta players just because they are toxics.
especially when i won the majority the matchs where my team report me just because we lost 1 or 2 teamfights.
you dont like robots taking care of moderations for you? i guess youll have to forward that to their support team, and get a computer generated response.

I doubt theyâre doing it, but they could probably detect these frivolous reports if they tried. If a player is reported for gameplay sabotage, but they have normal stats per minute for that hero, reduce the weight given to that report.

If you get reported âa lotâ for gameplay sabotage, what are you even doing? What hero are you playing? What rank? Is this QP?
I did a GDPR request from Blizz and I found out I had a grand total of 3 reports against my account. Three. In 6 years.
Some days I play like s1mple, then other days I play like I got 2 left hands. To be banned for gameplay sabotage is honestly an achievement my guy.
edit : incase anyone is wondering, the reports are what people reported me for. 2 of the reports were empty reasons. 1 thought I was an aim botter.
you must be done something very bad to deserve it then. i have over 500hours in OW and i never received a single ban
i play hammond. i play with the team, i talk with the team and everything. but you know, we lost one teamfight and the team start. PLZ SWAP HAMMOND. then they report me, we won and anyway i get banned for massive reports xd. this is ow.

I mean, this doesnât just happen in one game. Maybe youâre not as good on Ball as you might think you are?
While I donât think people should be suspended for playing a hero, I just have to wonder how they play said hero that comes across as throwing.

Bans should not be an automated processâŠperiod. Also, getting banned for âabusiveâ chat should NOT be a thing when âsquelch/ignoreâ and âhidechatâ are literally there for that reason. The last several days, people have admitted to reporting people when they get asked to switch heroes or stop throwingâŠso what faith should we have in a system like that?
so? the game says that you cant report someone just because he dont want swap hero or he is not good on one hero.
and im not a bad hammond. i was master on ow1 with hammond⊠and ow1 was a cc simulator.
the true is that the majority the players are really toxic against off meta players. especially if they dont want swap. you lost a single teamfight on this off meta hero and the team start to say swap swap. but if you dont swap they insta report you.
The devs even said this being there isnât an invite to be abusive.
