Pls make coins and competitive points the same

I know a lot of people feel forced to play a game mode they dont like just to get a cosmetic exclusive. Its unfair for casual players. Give us alternative ways to get golden weapons cause we dont want to feel forced to play the most toxic gamemode ever

Or just add silver weapons to QP… that would also be a thing to encourage players to win in QP.

Don’t start handing out gold weapons we slaved for months to earn. You can have some other sort of cosmetic for QP/arcade matches. They can be better than gold if you’d like. Platinum, diamond, camouflage; I don’t care. Just not gold.

Or you could play 1-2 comp matches a day.

If Shiny weapons mean that much to you.

Silver weapons would be cool. But to be honest, as a casual QP player, I really don’t care that much for golden weapons to begin with. The original textures on most weapons are much cooler than a generic golden texture.

Baihu with the gold swords looks amazing though. You know it’s true.

I literally bought gold for Genji and then never touched him again, just because it looked so cool on other people.

Funny story I saved up 3k coins off the bat when I first started cause I didn’t know comp points were a thing and got my heart broke when reality hit that I was idiot and overlooked the purple icon indicating a different currency. But naw let’s not and just make them easier to obtain or give you the option to refund once per promotion to swap gold guns since this is supposed to be the kinda game where you switch hero’s all the time anyways

I have 5 golden weapons and honestly I hate comp, the only reason I do it is to see where my skills fall and to get golden guns. If we removed golden guns from being only obtainable by comp, I’d probably only ever placements and then out. I for one don’t even care if yes it took me hours upon hours to get them in competitive. I’d rather be able to get them outside of competitive. It’s been 2 years almost now, it’s fine to make them available in modes aside from comp.

Lets not pretend it takes actual effort to get golden guns, you earn them by playing comp, that is it, some people get their faster than others is all. Golden guns were good up until the point Blizz realised that it just made non comp players play comp and at this point they no longer mean anything but “ooh shiny”. Which is why there has never been anything new like costumes, new skins etc because Blizz do not want to promote the mistake that was encouraging non comp players into comp.

Therefore if people want that to stop, they need to be earnable elsewhere which then allows for them to actually start doing new skins etc

If you honestly believe getting 3000 cp with the current reward system we have is a drag… I hardly believe you want to put in the slightes effort :man_shrugging:
I mean you 15 cp for each win no matter which rank you score, you get season end rewards determined by your highest sr reached and on top of that you get random comp modes in arcade :laughing:

I think as long as there are any unlocks that are Competitive-only, players will be grinding in Comp to get them.

You get them for winning comp matches, which are the most the difficult game mode in the game. Sure you can eventually luck your way into the 300 or so wins necessary to get 3,000 CP; but even through all that effort I would say you earned it.

QP matches are not comparable to Comp matches. They are garbage.

Yeah, I get all that. I’m fine with them not adding any other cosmetics to competitive for these reasons. But taking the one thing they already had away, just doesn’t sit right with me. If it was a mistake, they shouldn’t have added in the first place. But what’s done is done.

The people only playing comp for CP don’t bother me - they are stuck down in bronze and silver where they belong.

And? I would prefer something different in QP. Some silver weapons (or any other things) would hurt no one.

I’d like to see individual hero SR, and our weapon unlocks are based on that; not bought with points, but earned in some way.

With weapons for all the tiers: bronze, silver, gold, plat, diamond, m, gm…

Yeah, i was thinking… there’s nothing really holding Blizzard back from releasing weapon skins alongside the full hero skins we already have. Like imagine weapon upgrades (appearance only obviously).

But still, as long as there’s anything comp-only, people will be in there grinding even though they don’t really want to play comp. I don’t think I would, i play comp regardless, but some people kindof have a collector’s mindset or something so they feel the need to.

I am one of them. But my goal is to show that I like a hero and confident enough to play him. I played comp for golden weapons and now it is just dont worth it. I would like to get also something in QP. QP is also more played than comp so…
