If you could tell by the POTG how comes you couldn’t tell when pocketing them, getting all those extremely consistent dinks etc must have been a huge sign?

However, I do disagree with people reporting those for pocketing a cheater unless blatantly in a party together (which can be checked by attempting to add them to your party in comp)

what happens if you pocket a smurf player. i think i’ve done that many times as mercy in some games. if i see that the dps is getting tons of kills on the kill feed i shamelessly boost them (maybe i have unknowingly boosted a hacker ??!)

thats the name of the game right? but no i never “friend” them and do it every game…

this goes back to a previous thread on someone being reported for not leaving the game after his team left. enemy team said they were gonna report him for wasting their time

ANOTHER reason why this automated report system is a huge failure

a lot of the time when im playing mercy I’m not actually looking at what the person I’m boosting is doing, I’m turned around looking for flankers or looking at my other teammates to make sure they’re ok, stuff like that
plus without the pov of the ashe it can be hard to tell if it was just a good flick or actual aim botting

I do agree tho if you’re not grouped with them then ur just damage boosting a dps as mercy which is generally what she does, nothing to report there

How is the mercy supposed to know if the dps she’s boosting is just a good shot or cheating?

Lots of people get plenty consistent dinks, especially in high ranks. Besides, most cheaters don’t use hard aimbots these days, they use more subtle ones that mimic human aim. Most of the time cheaters are hard to see from killcams and even potg’s if their aimbot is good, so shifting the blame onto the mercy who’s just trying to do her job is kinda dumb.

omg, there was a hacker on the enemy team before… and the enemy team just FULL ON POCKETED THEM… and it was NOT fun.

I reported the Hacker and I got that Green Thank You Letter :’).

One time my group had a hacker as a DPS, I left the group after it… because I didn’t want to me ASSOCIATED with a hacker. So yeah. Hackers suck, boosting is just crappy.

They’ll drop pretty quickly… but yeah.

Throwing some irrelevant words around doesn’t help when talking about a game.

this is not Rust.

Not really.
“or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.”
“and anything else that may degrade the gaming experience for other players will receive harsh penalties.”
might be the things you are referring to. However, you don’t actively support the cheater. Playing in the same team due to the matchmaker is not the player’s fault.
The alternative option would be giving up or refusing to take part in the game, which would be throwing and this also goes against the CoC.
Therefore, the only option someone has is to continue playing normally and avoiding and reporting the cheater.
Ofc, in higher ranks the players might agree onto a draw because they frequently engage and know eachother.

Its not cheating or taking part in it if your randomly happens to have a cheater in it…

You played great

I know you did amazing

Good job

I Love you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

“So I gave my brother the xbox controller and somehow he cheated on COD”

Just kidding tho. Even if you get reports in one game, it won’t amount to anything (unless you listened to loud music for 10 games premade with him, maybe).

Not ban worthy but makes you look bad, these things happen

can you read? i said if they are pocketing them while having full knowladge that the ashe was cheating, it’s bannable. im not saying that OP was aware but im just saying IF they did

Are you still talking about banning people for not cheating?

I’m 100% positive Blizzard will not ban anyone unless they are running cheat programs. If I know my friend is cheating and still play with them, Blizzard won’t ban me. Yes it would make me a scummy person but I’m not breaking any of the rules for Blizzard games because I myself am not cheating.

I can read. Even then, I doubt ots bannable…

If I have a cheater on my team, I report them, but I also heal them just as I would any other teammate. That includes peeling for them when they’re being focused, and damage boosting them when they’re popping off.

You should not be reported for playing your hero normally while somebody else is cheating. That’s, frankly, ridiculous.
Deliberately refusing to heal a teammate, by comparison, is actually a reportable offense. Players should not be obliged to start throwing matches every time the enemy team starts making haccusations–for a start, you have no way of knowing that the player is actually cheating until you’ve gone back and watched the replay, and for another… it’s just not your responsibility. Matchmaking chooses your teammates. Your job to work with those teammates to the best of your ability, no matter what.

So it wasnt weird that your Ashe was clicking one head after another? Weird btw, how each time a very sus hitscan smurf was clicking heads had a Mercy glued on em…

Good luck convincing Blizzard’s Support Team that he is innocent. If by any chance they give him a suspension, EVEN by accident (cause the suspends and bans are happening by software), then he is finished. He can’t find his right and in the BEST scenario, he will get an automatic response that they investigate the case and they have found nothing wrong.

They didn’t know when they were playing. They’re innocent.

You did your job. You were playing mercy as intended, healing and damage boosting people

Cheater or not, you cannot be reported for that

We want our dps to click heads, why would we find that suspicious that dps is doing their job well? It’s not like we can see the kill cams, it’s up to the enemy team to sus out the cheater…

Besides, kill feed will only show the killing blow. We can’t exactly see where dps is pointing their cursor at.

Doesn’t matter one bit if it’s a smurf; if my team happens to get a smurf on the team who’s carrying, I’ll be trying to do my best to help that smurf carry me. Because I know everyone else would do the same and it’ll even out since smurfs are everywhere. It’s not like I can stop them from smurfing or being on my team, but they’ll be more than happy to wreck my team if they end up on the other side.

I would certainly look twice into what i play with. If my Widow clicks 4 heads in a row in a 3k match, ill call that very sus, especially if its a low lvl account. And further, if he keeps clicking heads without even bodyshot kills … i call him out.

Never heard of sportmanship i guess.

I am plenty sportmanship, but I’m also not a hypocrite.

If the enemy helps their smurf player, so will I. Matchmaking doesn’t take my feelings into account and smurfs won’t care either way. I’m not awful or unsportmanship person for helping teammates who just happen to be on alt accounts. Why should I throw the game because matchmaking put me with smurfs?

Besides, good widows can click heads plenty without aimbots. If it’s a smurf account, they might just be a very high rank player and you cannot blame me for doing my job in order to win the game, on the basis that they “might have cheats”.

If the replay or potg shows they have cheats, then I will report them. But I won’t lose sleep over pocketing smurfs. My job is to help my teammates, not differentiate who’s the good guy and who’s the scummy person using aimbots.
