The lowest scum of the Lifeweaver community are making me hate the hero so badly, like I thought people wanted more tank players but if you life grip your tank off cooldown because you don’t like their hero choice you should be banned
It’s AGONY. So many of them hate Doomfist to the point that they’ll pull you right after you slam a group, pull you back towards spawn every chance they get, SPAM NO FOR 30 SECONDS WHILE MAKING EYE CONTACT even if you didn’t use the “need healing” button… And they have the audacity to mock you for “performing poorly” when they’re the reason you are. I’ve even had them fight the other support over them healing me saying to just let me die… because reasons?
Oh my god, it’s infuriating, just a free tool for the most petty trash of the community to troll. Repeated bad pulls should be a heavily weighted report because it’s some of the most disgusting griefing sabotage I’ve seen in a game and the worst added to Overwatch in its entire history
And I don’t even hate Lifeweaver, most are fantastic and smart and awesome. But he also attracts the nastiest, pettiest, meanest manbabies and they have a button that gives you the tilt debuff in the first 5 seconds of a match and that should absolutely be harshly punishable.
If I get gripped back to the spawn room after Doomballing my way towards the point at the start of the match it’s an immediate report now. It happens soooo much. That alone is a tilting thing to do, but to actively ruin engagements all match because… Idk, you had a jerk Doomfist one time or assume everyone will suck as him? Get a LIFE wtf just play the damn game!
Nah people shoukd be thankful that they ensured you couldnt environmental kill your teammates with it.

Ngl ive gripped that toxic mercy player on my team into dva bombs… then been like. “Misclick, sorry” not really but ignorance is bliss (and dont repeatedly do it)

I find it fun the only enjoyment out of playing the hero since it is alot of work to get yanked target to fall down the hole and now adays it is usually there fault after you yank them to a precarious spot…
why do ppl ask if something is reportable or not? the report system is fully automated. people who get action taken against them are generally just people who anger players too much. be that by throwing, typing slurs in chat, forcing extremely off meta heroes and performing poorly, or lifegriping players off cooldown as described. is what it is.
I never see these troll LW’s that everyone talks about. I guess I’m just lucky. I have been life gripped when I didn’t need it, but the LW probably didn’t know that. I just reset my position and go again.
Yeah, it’s also way more understandable when a FRIEND is playing lifeweaver and makes a mistake. Whereas in soloQ, a random lifeweaver pull can feel like trolling even if it’s just a misplay.

I know I’ve been having issues lately where I select someone to grip, but it grabs someone else I didn’t want for seemingly no reason. I’ve since tried tweaking my Life Grip sensitivity. But to be the kind of jerkhole that just continuously grips people for stupid and petty reasons?
Like sure, I hate, hate, HATE, when I see my Tank pick Ball or Doomfist as most players don’t seem to be very good with them and are incredibly stubborn to make them work when they’re just not the right hero for the job. But I would never Life Grip someone because I hate their hero pick.
Sounds like those Lifeweavers need to play something else.
