Please remove switch from the console pool

I have been on switch since release and even with all the skill our players achieved through the seasons we are no where near the level of other console players in gm and masters (which we are being placed in due to our switch mmr.) We also have no option to turn crossplay off due to que times being literally endless with switch pool. I feel we are at a massive disadvantage because of frames and are just tainting the games because other people feel like having a switch player on their team is an auto loss. The locked 30fps for overwatch switch is a hurdle that can’t be solved with practice and is something that stops us from progressing on the ladder. Being the only player locked into 30fps is honestly pretty annoying and affects the way I can perform in these 60fps filled games. This would be okay if us switch solo quers were put against at least one other switch player but usually in all of the games I have played I was the only switch player. Please consider taking switch off the comp pool, I feel it would better the games for everyone.

It’s okay. You’ll end up where you belong after a few dozen games. Take that as a learning experience. I wish I could play a few thousand SR above my rank to learn from my mistakes.

I completely agree with Tokis. I play this game simply because I find it fun and engaging. I do feel like I’m at a disadvantage playing on the switch though. Personally it would be ridiculous for me to spend money on another console or PC just to play this game. Hopefully everything gets worked out after the beta.

It’s not okay that we are playing on a fluctuating 25-30fps against a lobby where everyone is at 60fps. Even if the mmr balances itself out that doesn’t fix the fact we are always at a disadvantage, therefore making the matches automatically unfair in most cases. There is no amount of learning that will change the unfairness of 30fps (which is by far the lowest frames anyone is truly running overwatch at) against 60fps. Some people are even playing on joycons in handheld mode which really cant compete with xbox and ps4 controller. Switch is not meant to be put in a comp pool with other consoles its more casual if anything.

If it’s more casual why are you playing comp?

Also the switch has gyro aiming

It really does help playing in a bit higher SR. Everybody do less mistakes, so you will automatically try and play similar to them.

This is why I personally really enjoy being put in Top 500 Matches as a GM player myself, those matches are the Highest quality I have ever seen!

I play comp because people actually talk and communicate which makes the experience a lot better, but I don’t tryhard lol if anything I just mess around. Comp also gives more of an incentive to play the game long-term. Gyro aiming is hardly ever used and the people who play hitscan don’t use gyro on switch lol. Try it for yourself you will go back to the traditional method very fast. I’ve played switch since launch at all levels and I can say with certainty that gyro aiming does not make up for the lack of frames we get, nor does it improve gameplay the way you seem to think it does. It sounds like it would work super well right? Well sadly it doesn’t and most switch players have it turned off. Play with 30fps on switch mr pc player and come back to me homie <3

how did overwatch decide too put switch ii comp with other consoles ?

it worse than putting xbox and ps4 with PC.

how come they don’t see that.

Totally agree. Even though I have played many games since crossplay, I still get matched against players of other consoles that perform way better. I always end up feeling like a handicap to my team, hardly ever facing other switch players on the opponent side. The game was fun before crossplay. I dont tend to dramatize, but crossplay is the only update ever I really feel bad about

I came here wondering how the Switch cross progression works from other consoles. I am totally shocked to find out that Switch is in the Xbox and PS console pools!!! I thought it was a pool of it’s own if anything! The sad realization that I’ve been playing with Switch players in comp on my Xbox. That explains a lot I guess…

In no world should the switch be on the same playing field as other consoles. Just as Xbox and PS are not on the same playing field as PC.
