fire rate is absurd. please nerf him. you can literally buff anything in his kit. please nerf his primary. its unbelievable that he kills you from that far away in less than 1.5 seconds. I will not stop making threads. hes ruining this game right now
for all you tanks players that don’t really care for him because hes not that absurd vs tanks. hes hell to play against with any dps or healer. he kills you in 1.26 seconds if he lands 3 shots. no crit required. its absurd.

I agree with you for the most part. But this is a surefire way to get absolutely no one to listen to you, it makes you seem immature.
So can half the DPS roster, Ana and Rein. Hell junkrat can literally do it in two shots without even trying…

absolutely nothing is as reliable or on short of a cooldown. its his primary. he doesn’t need to crit you in the headshot for him to kill you that fast. its ridiculous. junkrat is not a hitscan. his projectile travels at 25 ms. and his bombs push you out of the way. so you literally have to walk into his second bomb for him to kill you that fast.

I’m pretty sure you are aware that Reins hammer takes A LOT longer than 1.26 seconds to deal 3 hits to a single target, same with Ana. Don’t be deliberately ignorant to try and make a case.

Okay my stance still stands. 3 shots is not absurd for this game. Not when widow or Hanzo or Doomfist or a damage boosted Ashe can one shot you. McCree is fine try moving more erratically if you wanna mess up his aim.

I would say nerf his range or his fire rate, but not both, and in a game where seconds count, I favor the former. He should be most effective at mid-to-close range, which is where his kit shines. He doesn’t need to be a fracking sniper.

So. Someone is always gonna be on top. Thats how the world works. If we keep nerfing who ever is on top the standard for a"good" hero is just gonna get lower.

You dont always have to nerf the “Top” hero, that is true, there are multiple factors that can lead to a hero beeing too strong,
however, i personally feel like mccree isnt beeing affected by any other factor other than him beeing a bit too strong,
His firerate buff was a mistake, what UP mccree needed was more survivability. like they tried in PTR a while ago (to which i have no idea why they didnt push that change)

Add to this list the absolute joke that is McCree’s extremely “low skill = high reward” ability which is the overbuffed Fan the Hammer and I’ll agree 100%!!
No they’re right cause mccree is balanced but characters like soldier need a little help to reach that same level

ok lets see, with this change soldier get the lvl of mccreee. now they have to buff torb, junkrat, ash, sym, pharha and others dps to get the same lvl than soldier and mcreee?

this is the powercreep… you cant buff all dps to the lvl of broken heros because if you do this, all dps will be multirole heros that can counter all playstyles. like mccree.

My only guess is that enough people complained about McCree getting a 50 HP buff that reflected his hitbox model, even though he’d be getting a huge DPS nerf in conjunction.
I for one have ALWAYS been on the stand that McCree never needed the fire rate buff, but I’m sure a bunch of people who enjoy his new fire rate would beg to differ.
his shot-mine combo is faster., but is shorter range, so I’ll give you that.
but he has a 49% winrate on all ranks. Just because they are played a lot because we love the man, doesnt mean he is OP.
I do not accept that ability. It is shameful.
