Good day.
In the game, in common, we have bright and “not bright” maps, like afternoon maps and evening (night) maps. I could not find the enemy color (in the options), which can be good and for bright and for dark maps. Yellow can be good for dark maps, not good for bright ones, for example. Default red color is, maybe, the best balanced variant, but still, on the dark maps it is hard to see the enemies. I have tried almost every color from the options. Also I tried to tune brightness and contrast in the game options, it didnt help, but I can try to tune it more.
I want to ask developers to improve somehow the visibility of the enemies.

Make all enemies orange dots
Red does the job well enough imo. It is not so much about the contrast rather than what color you identify as an enemy color.
I tried using yellow for enemies at one time and i couldn’t stop myself panicking when I see healing beam. It is all about perception.
What you can do to get a bigger outline (of red) is to reduce the rendering scale (usually 100% or automatic if you have a good pc) if you put that on lets say 50% the visible red outline gets thicker.
If you have a graphics card with a program like nvidea geforce experience you can turn the rendering scale up via that to get your visibility to be clearer while still getting thick outlines.
Another option is to turn model details on high quality so they have more contrast (imo).
I personally play with 100% in game rendering and ultra models I believe or high since i dont have trouble spotting someone myself because i hear the audio cues already (except for zen).
I also just prefer a more visually pleasing experience rather than optimal preformance/advantages in ranked.

I have the same problem and found out switching enemies to golden outline color makes it better for me, except on day bright maps like Illios, but still I have a hard time on other maps. It would be great if outline colors could be set depending on the time and color of the map. The problem is, if you switch the settings mid game or at the start of a game you need to wait until the next game for them to change.

I use magenta. Purple works well in both light and dark maps at least for me. You could also try tweaking with Nvidia digital vibrance settings to make certain colors pop out more.
Go to settings - you can make their red outline thicker - I have this settings and it´s great.

Indeed, it is strange, that color change will be applied only in the next match
