Why can’t I main Lucio, Zen, Brig, Mercy or illari without having to worry about what my other support is going to pick? This game is designed in such a way that if you don’t pick a high single target healing support then you are pretty much throwing the game but you can pick any dps duo and it’s fine, why? . I really want to main these characters without running into another person who mains them every 4th game it’s so infuriating and almost a guaranteed loss and not a good time for you or your teammates.
Please add a healing bonus already when two of these supports I mentioned are picked, it would make a lot more support comps viable and remove the frustrations that are inherit with maining these characters.

How about you git gud? Those characters’ power isnt in their healing. Topic solved.
Tell me how to win with Lucio Zen in masters
Press H in the spawn room instead of forcing Zen Lucio? If your other support is playing these characters, then play what’s needed. These characters dont need a new passive because you refuse to adapt.
Kill people faster than they kill you?

Yea you do that while the rest of your is crying because of low heals and your tank goes afk.
I mean, it’s worked for me before
what support can I pick when my tracer keeps getting one tapped? Can we buff mercy so her beam can keep her alive?
No but that player can learn to survive with less healing.
support isn’t supposed to out heal stupidity. sadly many achieved that goal.

I think it’s fine that not every single character can be played every single game with no regard for what your team or the enemy team picks. That’d mean making characters more samey and I don’t think I’d be a fan of that. The fact that they each can be so different is what makes Overwatch Overwatch.
Sucks if you really, really, really love Zen and your mate picks Lucio, but it is what it is.
Maybe the issue is that you are in Masters
Zen, Illari, and Lucio should be securing kills. You don’t need to heal your team if the enemy team is dead?
People always ridicule lower ranks, but at least we can play whatever weird team combos we want lol
I thought lucio zen was a decent comp if played properly. When did it change and become a bad comp?
Unless its just the players on said heroes are not playing well?
There’s just not a lot of healing to go around. Which can be manageable, but crumbles really quickly in the face of strong incoming damage
True if the zen isnt hitting any shots or lucio is feeding its bad, but i think its pretty strong if they are playing well. Assuming the team arent playing like dummies out in the open needing hard defensive cooldowns just to live.
I would think the higher rank you go the better that comp gets. Because it works well often even in plat, where people dont understand what cover is

Try playing ana and using her sleep and crit perks.
I find her gameplay to be just as engaging as zen/lucio with those perks.
Those crit shots are so satisfying to hear too.
Zens Duality Perk is awesome if you have a 35% + accuracy on him. He heals like a mfer with it. For me at least, I saved a lot of people from death Discording, then rightclicking their lives away with the heal it grants.

This is the sort of thing that could be handled by having perks to begin with. There could be a perk for Zen, for example, that makes him stronger as a healer in case he doesn’t trust his co-support, but with trade-offs (probably to Discord, if nothing else) that prevents him from becoming insanely busted.

Skill issue on their part.
People need to learn to not facetank every bullet coming at them.
Especially tanks.

Rushdow the enemy team and blow them up.
With Lucio you can launch your entire team into the enemy, with Zen you can blow up someone as you’re applying damage boost x5 to your entire team.
The weakness? Sustain.
That’s the thing, every combination of supports usually provide some strengths with weaknesses.
Ana Baptiste? High sustain, good damage, no mobility.
Juno Brig? Speed and coverage for Juno, but bad range.
That’s the thing.

Do you expect every single support to pair well with each other? As that is never how this game has worked. Lucio is a great support, but needs to be paired with something that actually heals more single target. Yes it CAN work with zen, but we both know usually it won’t.
