Trying to play 2CP with players who don’t know about grouping or defending is just painful. You shouldn’t log off feeling like you didn’t even get a chance to really play Overwatch.
Oh so you mean i pick and learn one easy map that i can play 24/7 and nothing else and grind my SR way higher then it should be , afterwards enable ALL MAPS and wreck my sr with others ? GREAT IDEA. You are such an amazing thinker.
Works wonders in Starcraft 2 as well
sc2 totally different
Map voting should 100% be in the game. 2CP map design in this game is cancerous and needlessly stressing. It exacerbates the barrierwatch/spam tactics that have plagued the game since its inception. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why most of the playerbase enjoys koth maps the most.
2cp is the best mode. Koth should be avoidable for how bad those maps are.
People don’t do that with heroes, so why would they do that with maps? Think about it. No one mains a hero in order to climb rank only to swap to a new hero so they can lose it all… They buy a new account to practice other heroes. That’s how it’s always worked…
Seems like a stupid thing to do if you intentionally learned one map because you want to boost your SR and then intentionally lose it all by playing a map you don’t know. Those two goals are conflicting and I don’t see why anyone would do that.
You don’t seem to be that great of a thinker to be honest.
The problem with being able to select a map is that’s how entire games have turned into only 1-2 maps being played.
It starts out no one picks certain maps, so the queue time on those maps becomes longer. Then slowly people start to just pick the map that has the shortest queue time and after a while that’s the only place you can even find a game in some cases. I saw entire maps, default maps in game since launch in TF2 fall into never being played due to this exact same pattern.
never mind all the comp like issue of people sticking to one map that supports their one trick hero pool the best.
It doesn’t have to be specific maps, it could just be a type of map.
Also, if players don’t want to play a certain map, that’s a map design problem, not a player problem. Maybe that map is bad. Remember the original Horizon map?
EVEN AN MOST GRINDY FK WILL GET BORED OF IT AND GET TOO COCKY TO TRY TO GO OUT OF HIS SAFE SPACE, THATS WHY. Use damn brain, im done with talking with you.
I’d rather queues not take longer. And I cannot think of a map I’d rather avoid outright. Also 2 CP has very fun games imo.
It’s a simple rule. Maps with too much open space or too many chokes, are bad maps. Some examples of this include Hanamura, Anubis, Gibraltar, Eichenwalde, Route 66, Volskaya, etc. Maps like Ilios, King’s Row, Nepal, Numbani, Liejing and Hollywood are well liked because they’re balanced, and give variety on comps that are viable.
You mean like grind and get gud with one hero then get bored of it and too cocky and go out of his safe space and try another hero? Again, that already happens now.
But if we were able to pick maps, you wouldn’t force players to play on maps outside their comfort zone. You’d actually have more players playing games they’re comfortable with, not less.
