Idk what it is. CONSTANT no regs on his dashes. Like the audio of it hitting, and not getting the dash reset. I had to stop playing him. It happens so often, I think I have my dash reset and it apparently never connected but I’ll hear the hit sound and I went right through them, and then I just die cause I’m sitting there like a dummy in the middle of their team expecting to have my ability.
He’s fun and I wish I could play him more often but them no regs be killing me.
Also recommend Thor or venom if you want the tank feel. Venom is more on the “wrecking ball” side of things- but still gets those Doomfist itches.
Thor is also pretty good. A doomfist main recommendation for Thor though: rebind his hammer lunging move to right click. Feels so much better to me, really simulates getting around with rocket punch. The other 3 abilities can easily be bound however you see fit. I have his hammer Toss on e, his thor lightning mode on shift, and bubble on f.
doomfist, another proof 5vs5 sucks and we need two tanks, if he is weak and cant protect anyone as a tank then why the hell he is a tank?
literally he does nothing, his punch can kill with one hit, his weapon is slow and weak, his ult is completely useless, just an escape tool, i dont get why you are above someone and doesnt die, and his shield well only protects himself, not the team

Not since he was reworked to be a tank. Whereas before, when he was DPS, his fully charged punch into a wall did 250 damage, now the same punch does 115 damage bare and 172.5 when empowered.
It’s not the best primary in the game, being a slowish projectile shotgun with both fall off and spread, but it’s not the worst or weakest, either. A skilled Fister can do some good work with it.

Not really a shield and it is mostly intended for self-defense, but it can be used to protect teammates, as well, by being between them and the source of incoming damage. More importantly, the way of thinking that tanks need to be some sort of shield bots and “protectors” for their teammates has been left by the wayside years ago.
Just put him back in the DPS, he is not a tank. I still don’t even register him in my hero pool. He’s the definition of a bruiser, the only “tank” thing he has shields himself.

only escape, literally, cant kill, is not to control the point, and if you are in extra time you are throwing the match
which means he is not a tank and should not be a tank, when mei the dps is a better tank than doomfist then we have a problem, if doomfist is going to be a tank we need 6vs6 now, so we have another tank to coompensate how trash he is
yes, thats why overwatch 2 sucks and 5vs5 was a mistake, this isnt call of duty
This is an antiquated and myopic way to look at tanks. It was also true in OW1, after the it was solved. Anyone still using this argument nowadays makes me question their understanding of the game and their intellectual capacity.
removing the hero shooter moba aspect of overwatch 1 is antiquated but making every character a boring dps with more or less hp and removing more and more deep and strategy for the game is fine? i understand how overwatch should be, thast why overwatch 2 sucks
No babe he was horse ***** to face when punch was on a 4 second cooldown and before they made changes to his ult.
His entire concept is trash and it’s not me “recently feeling the effects of him being a punch bot” he’s ALWAYS been a punch bot it’s his entire concept even when he was a dps. A stupid indefensible dps one shot kill is just as trash as a hyper mobile CC tank.
He is truly garbage game design for the other 9 players in the lobby. He is entirely 100% selfish as a tank in all design, and makes playing any role on the other team insufferable.
I didn’t miss the little woe is me plea for help you doom mains attempt when you know he’s getting buffs people hate and then after he gets nerfs you hate. It’s true I never cared about slams AOE that much compared to the punch, but he has always had the punch and likely always will. And you as a doom player will use the punch and play your horrible hero that makes being on your team suck and makes facing you suck, whether I win or lose. And you mandate a sort of balancing that’s truly horrid.
Ana has to be broken not just because of hog and mauga, doom has ALWAYS been part of that reason (and ball). Mobile CC tank means the only answer is hard CC back and something to make you die faster than usual.
