I’m sorry, this is just the dumbest, most busted thing to touch this game. Tracer is LITERALLY STRONGER THAN FREJA RIGHT NOW. WHAT IS THAT???
You halved the cooldown of the most powerful ability in the entire game. You can’t DO that. The perk itself is actually great in terms of design but you had to ruin it with this bug. Fix it asap or just remove her from comp for a bit, PLEASE. I’m literally a Tracer otp, but this is just infuriating. I hate when Tracer is meta like this, it’s absolutely awful. All of the disgusting flex players get their crusty fingers all over her when none of them even know how to play her. I’m tired of one clipping Tracer players in my own rank. That shouldn’t be happening, and the only reason it is is because this bug makes her incredibly easy and strong, so ALL the boosted meta slaves flock to her. And playing her feels cheap too, like I don’t deserve my wins. I’m putting in a lot of effort to improve right now and I can’t even see the results because Tracer is so busted right now that I’d win ANYWAYS.
And it’s not like this is fun for anyone else either. Tracer’s whole thing is having no downtime. Well, now she REALLY doesn’t have downtime. Have fun healing your team when this British maniac is running at you off cooldown.
It’s boring, it’s unfair, and it’s not how Tracer should ever be. Give me my main back Blizz

i really think its a high elo thing, im an average player and i hardly see tracer anywhere and yea i SOMETIMES get some that are crazy good but its freakin rare.
seems like an only top percent thing but its cool that tracer players are honest about being overpowered… wish genji mains would be the same

It is usually a high elo thing with Tracer because she’s generally bad below it, but right now Recall is literally on an 8 second cooldown. Atp she might genuinely be one of the easiest heroes in the game. If low ranks aren’t abusing her it’s because they haven’t caught on yet
Most Tracer mains have a pretty big ego. Imo, it’s kind of an insult to have one of the hardest heroes in the game be buffed into something this easy. It feels really cheap, y’know? Also really bad when you’re facing flex players, because the gap between you is lessened even if you’re WAY better than them

i have noticed that but never took offense. as sombra i always try to trip them up, in a 1v1 fight tracer has the advantage over sombra most of the time depending on skill but sombra trumps tracer when she is engaged with someone else…
disabling tracer as sombra is a big rush with me and yea i think thats all a sombra can do in an equal skill setup or that is all sombra has against her… being cheap lol

Cheers, it’s mostly internal so I think we aren’t usually thattttt toxic outwardly unless someone else is. But if someone else is… we’re also the type of people to remember literally all of your mistakes and call you out for them
Yeah, you gotta catch her off guard. In a straight 1v1 she’ll hunt you down and kill you, but if you do manage to hack her when someone else is shooting her, she’s 100% dead

now with widowmaker im usually dead meat against good tracers but once in a while in a blue moon i can focus them (in the zone moments) and just delete them… its rare tho
but yea tracer has decimated me with widow most of the time

That was the case all of last season too. Tho unlike akj, I can still acknowledge tracer has one of it not the highest skill ceilings. But yes, recall bug should be fixed quickly. Or at the very least disable the perk as a choice until then.

Huh? We had the pick and winrates showing that was not the case all of last season. Dive was more popular last season than it was previously, she was doing better than the seasons before. While freja fell off pretty hard from s17. Especially losing her 2 best perks. Literally every rank from bronze to gm tracer was doing better. And was everywhere in pro play as well, where Freja wasn’t.

We had the obviously bugged stats showing that they don’t work for high ranks lmfao several of the numbers they put up weren’t even mathematically possible and didn’t align at all with my experience in those ranks either.
Tracer was significantly worse last season than she’s been in a long time. She actually dropped out of the meta due to Reaper joining it
While reaper is doing really well; tracer was still completely meta. Even if you don’t believe blizz stats, you can go look at the top500 leaderboards and see her everywhere.
What makes you think she was worse, in a season where dive was being played more?
No, she wasn’t. Reaper being meta forced her out of it, because the only time Reaper even BECOMES meta is when he’s able to consistently kill Tracer. She couldn’t fight at all with him on an angle because he could one shot her OUTSIDE OF HER EFFECTIVE RANGE. Moreover, the rest of the meta didn’t favor her either and she simply dropped out.
I AM Top 500. Tracer is played a lot there because she’s versatile and synergistic with the playstyle most of us have. Tracer’s T500 pickrate will never be an indication of the actual strongest DPS; she literally had the second highest when she had 5 damage and couldn’t 1v1 anyone at all.
And even then, she was STILL not being played nearly as much as she was in previous seasons unless there was a full Dive comp and Reaper was banned. The only reason she showed up as much as she did was because the real meta DPS were banned in most games.
Tracer isn’t even a dive hero to begin with, she fits more or less the same into every comp. She was only played in Dive last season because the meta DPS picks were Rush and Poke. If you want to run a different comp, you wouldn’t be running Tracer when there are heroes like Reaper that do her job better and fit well into the comp
