So every season i get placed at 2700-2800 i climb into diamond right away, now this is where it all starts. I go a 1 win 1 loss streak so i dont really climb to high into diamond then after a few weeks the losing streak begins… i fell from 3000 - 2450 in a week or so
When i start losing i take a break and stop playing but it seems it never helps every game i get is terrible full of throwers or smurfs

I tried using LFG but people lie about their rank and im sick of people saying they are in plat but they are actual in low gold/silver and are hiding theit rank with a private profile and looking for a carry…

Can someone help me? What can i do to become better? I sick of this happening every season

Nothing.

I dropped from 3150 to 2750 on one of my accounts the last two days. Literally every game is full of what seems like AI bots, trolls and every team we play against are sweaty try hards.

I am convinced that this game is a huge social experiment on blizzards end that really revolves around toxicity…the environment and heroes both support and enable it. If the majority of gamers are toxic, then I can see why they have gone this route…toxic environments/heroes attract toxic people and it goes full circle…

First thing is to make your profile public. If you are scared of showing others your stats and what you play, you shouldn’t play comp in my opinion. The best way to climb and stay at a rank is to belong at that rank. Don’t try “new” heroes unless you are sure you fit the mechanics and gamesense equally or greater than those of your opponents

Find group and check stats on there profile… I mean I just dropped from 3450 to 3100 cause alot of people don’t have mics and refuse to swap character even tho they are doing bad.

I literally play mercy and lock a healer roll every time its private because people would look at my profile and see how many hours i have on mercy and make fun of me i was tired of it so i kept it private for my sanity.

What im talking about is kids making LFG saying “high plats/diamonds only” so i join because im usually high plat and when we start a game everyones gold/silver… idc if people want the bulk of their profile private just make their legit rank viewable

If you want to join groups close to your SR don’t join groups with 1000sr range, join groups with 150 range or so, regardless of what the group name says.

Well if you are not gonna have a public profile than the others who are Lying about their rank can keep doing what they are doing. Only way to avoid this is join lfg groups with public profile only or ask your group mates just to see everyone is a certain rank. What’s even worse is people selecting roles they dont main like a support main selecting a dps slot

Mines private because people look at my hours on mercy and become toxic if i play a different healer even tho i can play them all

Next season don’t 1 trick mercy early on. Also it makes sense people would not be happy with you playing other healers since they require different mechanics from mercy. Although moira and lucio are usually close enough, zenyatta is meta but requires a lot more aim than mercy. And ana is possibly the hardest hero in the game so I wouldn’t want a mercy main playing her either. You should make profile public and play what you want next season

Just solo queue and play well. If you play at a diamond level you will naturally climb to diamond over a large enough sample size.

See this is what i dont get tho if i play at a high plat/low diamond lvl why does the game constantly drop me into gold?

2 Options:

  1. You belong at gold.
  2. You are playing inconsistently and this is causing you to end up at a lower rank than if you were to focus 100% every game.
