Saw the dev interview with Spilo recently and it appears that the devs are not considering putting in a competitive queue for 6v6 at first. So, I just had to come here to plead that they do for the sake of a fair test. I believe there are multiple reasons to do so as well.
I beg the devs, please do not kneecap the 6v6 test by not including a competitive mode option. Maybe even if it were the only version they add at first. Overwatch is a competitive shooter and people play to compete against one another (of course right?). I think a lot of people, including myself, love the challenge that each game brings and comp is by far the best way to get the stigma of actually playing to win. I just think there needs to be a competitive version to go along with the tests. I feel like most of the people asking for 6v6 in the first place are the serious, loyal, hardcore players anyways.
My last quick point would also be about balance itself. I heard Aaron mention in the interview that they are just giving us their best guess at balance for the first test, which is totally fine, but I can say with 100% certainty that if you introduced a competitive ladder, you can be sure that players will let you know what works and what doesn’t (for the most part).
Please, team 4, give 6v6 a fair shot. I can see you already are trying to by swapping the formats of the tests around, which I thought was pretty awesome. Thanks for reading.

5vs5 failed so hard and Blizzard made the mistake of giving one person the absolute power to decide if you’re going to win or not (Tank player).
It’s always the tank player throwing matches and its literally imposible to carry a match with a Tank who have no clue how to play.
Much as I prefer comp’s ruleset, I can see why they might feel that’d be splitting queues too much for initial testing. It’s also possible they don’t want to do anything too permanent feeling from the start since they still want to experiment with non-2-2-2 formats. Truthfully, they’re probably most worried 5v5 comp queue times will go to hell with all the Tanks in 6v6.
At the very least, they’ve said they realize a competitive mode will necessary in the long run. Hopefully reception is decisive enough to make that happen sooner rather than later.
No offense intended, but it is relatively obvious why and it should go without saying. Of course it is not going to get a competitive mode until they decide it is to be a mainstay.
The reason for that is also pretty clear, but I do not want to offend anyone because people get really angry when you point out common sense.

Please no.
I really dislike comp with the massive amounts of toxicity (in my elo at least).
So i avoid playing the mode.
And i imagine that a lot of qp players are the same.
Having only a comp mode would kneecap the trial worse than having a qp only trial.
This is why we play qp instead of arcade.
Kinda, but i still dislike comp for the toxicity.
Qp is a more relaxed atmosphere where it doesn’t matter as much if a hero is over tuned, because people aren’t going to only play the meta comp.
More heroes are going to see playtime in a qp setting than in comp, where it’s more likely that only the strongest comp/heroes will be played once identified.
