Please give the console players their own OW World Cup

That’s all I ask. Just an annual World Cup for the top players to aim for. PC players get the World Cup, OWL, Contenders and the Open Division. Xbox and PS4 players only get externally organised tournaments. Am I likely to ever make it? No. But it’s unfair that GM and top 500 players don’t get any chance to prove themselves in Blizzard organised events. And it’s not like the console players aren’t a part of the community, just counting Xbox players there are 4 of us that already have 2000 posts on these forums.

Please give us a World Cup, give us something to aim for.

It’d mean Blizzard would have to go through Microsoft and Sony, which takes time and money that they’re not willing to spend for an official console tournament.

I mean its a nice thought but i doubt it will happen

It would probably take way too much time, effort, and cash to put together a tournament for console players when it comes to Overwatch. Sure it would be good in theory but I doubt it would do well. Along with that when it comes to OW on Console its really… sketchy. Like since it would be console I suppose it would be controller only. So then its a pain to get people signed to teams who don’t use a KB&M.

To announce a tournament for Console? No, that does NOT take Sony or Microsoft. That takes Blizzard actually making an attempt to do it.

Which considering that 2 years have passed and they haven’t made a single attempt to do so, I also doubt it.
