For some reason, the feature is under utilised. What is going on ?
FORCE players in using the group finder huh? Can we get this moved to the worst idea ever section of the forums and then delete it forever?

Tell me a good reason why ? You get random players who plays solo and what you get ? Losing games.

Player need to put in a little effort into their group titles. Oneâs playerâs name isnât much help in finding a group, not really. Where as something like âLets get out of goldâ or âTry hard QPâ or âOff meta fun in QPâ is at least a vague idea of what to do.
I also think some player are finding role lock a bit too limiting if you have a decent hero pool. As you still get say a Sombra + Doomfist as your DSP and nothing seems to die. Yet you canât, due to lock, just quickly switch to a counter pick to break a given choke or spot on the map.

That would be a good idea because then people could play what they want while having a good team comp.

I donât want to spend the extra time in LFG when simply hitting Search Game will automaticly find me a group.

what about people who win more when they play on their own?? I really dont want to be forced to play with 5 other random people when i like to play by myself most of the time⌠and tbh wouldnât you solve your own issue if you used to LFG feature to play in a 6 stack all the time⌠if people want to play with randoms let them i dont see what the issue is

Why do you care what the other team has ?
I can only conclude that you are complaining because no-one is joining YOUR group - if this is a case perhaps you are choosing options that few want to play - or filling the slots they want.
The system we have now is perfect from the standpoint that if people want it, they can use it.
If they donât, they donât.
Sure there are other options I would like to see added such as hard SR restrictions, natural language (English, French, âŚ) preferences, etc

I think what the person meant is your group may consist of 6 players who are strangers to each other and then gets pitted against 6-stack of friends who have been playing together since day 1. Not only the odds of having a smurf in a 6-stack friends-team is extremely high; solo queue gameplay is a totally different gameplay than one of 6-stack and since solo queuers are so used to âcarry to winâ mentality, they are more often than not will lose against people who have great synergy (aka the 6-stack-best-buddies-team).

Heck no. Then u get players who queue and auto lock dps so single queuers have to,play around them. Then when u play AGAINST them the next game u have the same stack autolocking dps and thet get steamrolled for the same exact reason.
End of discussion. Since the idea of find group encourage team play. But if you play to solo que, go ahead. Idea was good but since people support toxicity, good luck winning.
I think you had already drawn your conclusion before you started the discussion. There are a lot of good arguments against forced LFG, but you just label them as âsupporting toxicityâ and end the discussion.

just so you know lfg is optional. if you wanna solo que, go ahead. but if you care about it so much, go to the LFG page and find a group
Each time i join, there was ZERO. Get it ? No one uses it.
so forcing it would be a good idea?? that would just lower the amount of people in competitive. and those 5 other people still have a chance to be just as bad as the people outside of the group.
So its ok for you to support toxic players who refuse to change ?
