it’s so painful to be stuck in game with 5fps, literally physically painful. I want to take my eyes out.

I posted about this a long time ago and raised a bug report.
Recently I’ve not seen it at all. Not once in several months. I had assumed it was fixed.
I did get a related issue (perhaps). I borrowed my daughter’s laptop which has a 3080 GPU (mobile) and installed OW. She plays games like Cyberpunk and Ark without problem, but OW ran like a dog.
What was odd was that it showed in the perf stats that I was getting 150+ fps (240Hz screen) but it stuttered as if I was on 15fps and looked very much like the backfill bug, but it was in both the games I tried to play before giving up and neither was a backfill.
I fired up Cyberpunk afterwards to make sure it’s not a glitch with the laptop and it ran great without any stuttering and at just under 100 fps.
They have some odd issues with their engine that are hard to explain.
