I’ve died 4 times tonight IMMEDIATELY after using Suzu. It’s BS.
I’m guessing you tossed it at your feet to block a rip tire or some such? Unfortunately it does have a pretty brief (but not insignificant) travel time…
It goes off, makes the sound and I’m glowing, then I die. Happens to allies as well.
Might be a lag issue. “Favour the shooter” likely means the damage hit before the suzu from the shooter’s perspective. Try watching a replay from their point of view to see if that’s the case.
Fix what exactly? Lack of timing? Where is the evidence?
Yes, you can post codes and time stamps because otherwise, word is cheap.
What were you trying to Suzu? There’s a lot of stuff that just isn’t feasible to Suzu on reaction because of the cast time, travel time, activation delay and on top of that the fact that Suzu is the most latency sentitive ability in the game because of favor the shooter mechanics.
that can atleast get circumvented by using it early enough.
swift step is absolutely broken and costs your life many times and if the tank is your only get away and he decides to crouch behind a wall you are screwed.
also if it decides to go on cd and do absolutely nothing.
imagine using rezz as mercy, get the cd and the player just respawns as if nothing was done on your side. maybe even lock yourself in the rezz Animation for nothing.
or like using dash as genji, while not actually dashing but getting the cd. so awesome.
I don’t know about Suzu but those teleport bugs are a pain in the butt, I tell you what.
it has a double cast time and it was made intentionally this way.
first time when it hit the ground and the second one right after it. But the second time only you will die XD. I misstimed so much my suzu somehow I saved my teammates, but not me.
fun fact. You can go out of bounds if you try to teleport to someone while you are on a higher platform than them.
This has been a bug for a long time, it’s so irritating.
Also if they just make bodyshot 60 I won’t even tp out, I will stay there and bathe in the blood of my enemies.
Wouldn’t happen to have any replay codes / captures of this you can show, would you?

Go play her for a bit. Her TP and Suzu often don’t go off properly. Don’t even need a replay for it. I bet you’ll experience it at least once in 10-15 games.

Still feels that way. It works reliably when you use it about half a second earlier than what looks correct.
Welcome to what we call latency. I bet when you look at the footage of your death and the replay code it never went off.
Bliz reduced the cast time from 0.15sec to 0.1sec.
This is 100ms of cast time.
Tossing nade in front of you is probably like 0.5 to 1.0m distance covered depending upon how fast you toss nade. The toss distance is like 14-28ms of extra travel time.
There is the time it takes to move your camera down.
I dunno about anyone else, but I frequently run on like 60-80ms latency rather regularly. Along with on occasion anyone doing like NA to EU stuff is easily 100ms latency.
From what I recall your projectile is deleted mid toss when you die. Which I think applies to all characters.

I’ve seen it a few times too, and it’s extra annoying because apparently there’s supposed to be a “favor the escaper” thing in the netcode for certain evasion moves. The example they mentioned was Pharah jumpjets, I assume Suzu is the same category too.
Bro this happens to me all the time when I play Kiri. It’s not even a lag thing because I have a hardwired connection and good ping, etc.
What’s weird is that I die with the glow on me, as do allies.
I’m usually on 20-40ms. It also happens when thrown at my feet.
I throw it preemptively, it goes off, then I die anyways. I blame favor the shooter. People are rewarded for bad ping.
