Soldier is a fantastic dps. When playing on my team you must play my hero request no exceptions or report.

I HATE playing Soldier, very boring hero, but sometimes they are a necessity… mostly when I have healers that aren’t healing for whatever reason.
Its weird how you have crafted this narrative that Soldier 76 is weak as if he wasnt the comfort pick of 90% of the DPS players in ladder thanks to being incredibly effective for how simple and easy he is lmao
He might not be Tracer but he remains a top 5 DPS for 99% of the playerbase through sheer easy of use while still being overtuned.

Soldier is fine. I don’t think he’s meta, but he does his job well enough.
As long as he’s landing shots, I’m cool with him on the team.

as a supp main, i love having a good sold on my team, especially when the tank is so stupid that its literally standing in the middle and taking all the damage without even thinking of taking cover. Sometimes its so much worse that even with both supp healing the tank, the tank still dies.
He definitely isnt GM meta, but he is still above average there.
But he definitely is meta below that, being the most effective pick for how insanely simple and easy he is.
Yep, don’t know what the OP is smoking honestly.
Soldier can easily put out some of the best DPS in the game, he’s incredibly mobile and he can even self-heal in a pinch. There’s no reason to not want him on your team over any other hero.

While I think he is a decent hero, he is not incredibly mobile. His sprint is good from getting from point A to B, or repositioning. If people are on him he can’t just escape like heroes who actually have incredible mobility, like tracer, ball, doom, lucio etc.

Most other heroes are just better. I’d rather have echo Cass Ashe widow phara junk venture or tracer over soldier tbh maybe I forget some
Kinda but but not enough to not fall over against heroes that have even better mobility. Soldier is fine, I’m not really ever upset if I get one on my team like I am about mercy, but he’s definitely not good rn

You mean the armor changes that were nerfed again in September, because it was far more impactful than intended?
Except that he’s a jack of all trades, master of none. So there’s absolutely no situation you would ever want him on your team, as there is always a better choice.
They still affect him quite a bit.
Soldier isnt supposed to focus on tanks anyways, so really it only hurt bad players who try to ult farm instead of focusing down supports. And he has the range advantage over every tank anyways.
If anything, heroes like Mei and Sym were hurt more by the armor changes because they are supposed to engage way more with tanks than Soldier does.
He is a high skill ceiling hero those who are good at him especially those aim trainer kids.
He is still better than 75% of the role for half the effort than many of them lol

Nah 12 damage is pretty good against armor. 9 felt terrible, at 12 damage you can do decent damage to like a Winston or Orisa again
