I mean, they are probably the only ones staying alive long enough to deal damage. So I buy it.
There are many factors that could be at play if DPS don’t have gold damage.
The number of times I pulled Gold’s with 3+ DPS as Rein or Zen, well that was when I decided this game was dead to me.
Also, Lucio solo healing? ofc the DPS will get melted, unless the enemy team is absolute trash.
Why are you shocked that a tank with a shotgun and self heal has more damage than 4 squishies depending on lucio to heal them? Hog players really need a reality Check. They always act shocked that they have high damage stats when they have a literal one shot combo available every few seconds with a 20 meter range

3 of my placement matches this season looked like this:
Imagine not beeing able to pick 4-6 dps after 222 comes.

If ANYTHING I was implying that Lucio being the only healer is a problem 
I’d say in master and GM approx. 30% of my games have a team with 4 dps, counterpick moira/lucio and 4 tanks, easy win.
But he was doing the most important damage? is a road hog getting the most damage because he keeps running into things? Is the other DPS killing the support? There’s a lot more that we don’t know
No but he gets no credit for wall riding and trying to boop people instead of getting a healer that works in a dps heavy comp. He picked a healer that was bad for the comp but probably still thinks he deserves a cookie for picking a healer. Players like that are why 222 will be a nasty surprise when you get 2 off healers to try and heal tanks and dps and keep each other alive

All we really need to know is that the 4 DPS willingly decided to stay on these heroes despite the fact there were 2 people willing to go tank and support. 4 people picking DPS doesn’t mean the sole people left should be required to go something like Orisa/Mercy as the only solo tank/healer type characters.
