You can’t win every game. 40% of games are free wins, 40% of games are losses no matter what, so you can only carry 20% of your games.

I got online tonight with aim to push 100 rating to get back into platinum. I lost 120 SR. I get absolute trash of players in my teams. You know sewers and garbage look nice in comparison.
I lost pretty much every match in same style. Obvious what is going to happen, my team absolutely cannot do anything.
Just in this last match, after they shredded us in offense, I picked up torbjorn in our offense just to trigger people. Someone said “no torb in attack” and I replied “why? we won’t win this”.
They said “stick with rein and believe in win hehe” and I said “that is exactly why we won’t win”. Believe me, I played. I didn’t throw but I didn’t stick with rein hence we got 2 points in our offense but in tie break my team got even worse.
I pretty much have to be satisfied with having gold medals and that’s it. Matchmaking for some reason places me with retards that somehow got into high gold. So believe me, you are having nice time in bronze because in bronze, it’s expected that people suck.

The easiest way to climb i think is to stick to a few heroes (one or two).
I went from 600SR to 1200SR last season by mostly playing Mccree and Hanzo.
A few seasons ago, i climbed to silver by one tricking soldier.

…I ripped t shirt apart. Lost a game after 33 minutes of playing while dying to win. Had something like 27k damage and 67 eliminations. Thing is, we had advantage of 3 minutes and they had 1 minute. Then we lost 7:8 Blizzard world.
Yesterday, it was okay. But yesterday I continued from 2283 and got to 2403.
Today, I am back to 2289. I just play damage role. Sometimes support too but this season I didn’t even qualify (yet).
One thing is sure, game doesn’t reward effort nor it puts you with better players because of it.
Because people in low bronze are bad at the game. And if you are bad at the game, its hard to climb. /thread

I know why I am the SR I am at.
I’m tumbling to bronze as tank as I don’t have the raw mechanics or reflexes to carry out the role well.
I can play support quite comfortably at 2300 as I can stay alive and heal my team mates that then carry me. But not playing support anymore until PS4 server issues fixed. But have been plat as support before. Might be doable again.

I feel you as a zarya main. I just tell the rain to stay close to me or don’t use your charge at all or use it to get in better position. I have been from 700sr to 1550sr with zarya and most of the time rainhardt just suiciding charge. I have learned from their mistake and climb to silver with rain also lol.
