There have been tons of troll threads on this type of thing or hero related. So it’s hard to know if someone is being serious or not. Sorry, blame the trolls.

That’s a fair point.

I just want genuine thoughts, tbh. If people didn’t feed the trolls we definitely wouldn’t have these problems.

Also like, Tracer and S76 gets a pride skin, okay
Two of the worst heroes right now, so why bother?
And giving “pride skins” to the rest makes no sense lore-wise.

(although some of the countries that the game is sold in are anti-LGBTQ, so they could just call it rainbow skins instead of pride skins? It would be more probable than if they called it pride skins)

I mean if people have an issue with pride Skins you could easily have a rainbow skin,
Or a purple, pink and blue skin cough* (bitrate)

Unlike the mercy skin, this would be WAAAAY to on the nose.

It could make for a fun mini-event like the Ana and D.va and Baptiste events. Especially if the skins are just recolors of the base skins, those would make fun rewards to get that I think a lot of people could get mileage out of. Sprays and the like could also be added. All in all it’s as much of a possibility as a lot of potential events, unfortunately Blizzard likes to keep Overwatch feeling stiff in this regard for some reason.

The meta has never, ever affected when and who gets skins. So that’s a completely redundant point. Heroes get new skins and cosmetics whenever the devs make them, the meta has nothing to do with that.

And a vast majority of the skins make no sense from a lore perspective, unless you’re genuinely going to tell me that canonically Roadhog gets prettied up in a reindeer costume, or that Reaper cuts back and throws on a mariachi player’s outfit on the weekends.

I’d say pride-themed skins are far more likely to sync up with the lore, since it’s a pretty reasonable guess that a majority of the cast has nothing against LGBT+ people. It would just be some flair for a special occasion, like many of the event skins are meant to be.

Personally I don’t really care one way or another.
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I dont really care if I can’t dress my favourite character up as a rainbow and run around throwing glitter bombs.
If they do release pride skins, cool. If they don’t cool.
