I played OW on my boyfriend’s old PC, and I was able to play OW2 on ultra settings and with a max 60FPS. But a few months ago, Blizzard pushed out an update that just completely broke compatibility with my PC. In order to get the game to run at all, it has to be on the lowest settings and I get a max of 25-30 FPS. Also the game has to be in the smallest window possible to get that 25-30 FPS. So until I can get a new PC, I’m playing on an Xbox Series S. It’s runs amazing and I can actually play the game, but I hate having to use a controller. Can we add Mouse/keyboard support? If that’s considered cheating, then just have people playing with Mouse/Keyboard join PC servers
Have you tried to reinstall gpu driver or windows? What is the spec of the PC? 30fps seems odd even for a low end laptop. BTW, dont play at max setting, if you can get 60fps at max settting before, you should get over 120 on low, you can use high setting for texture, so the game still look good, high fps has lower input delay, even on 60hz monitor.
It is considered cheating because console has aim assist which applies to people who use mouse and keyboard on console, which is called ximming. PC players have no aim assist option, and do not want to go against ximmers (or any console players really but especially not someone who is cheating).
Native Support doesn’t equal Xim.
I mean, isn’t Blizzard owned by Microsoft? The people who also own Xbox & could directly make those changes?
I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to - after all, years ago, Xbox made it up to the individual games whether or not to allow KBM usage.
It’s been up to the individual developers since the PS3/360. It’s only been getting attention recently because clearly a decent subset of console users want more control over what inputs they use. I’m honestly surprised that the OW team is so far behind the CoD teams in this regard.
Just seems like unnecessary effort to enable console players to join pc lobbies when using m&k. I don’t see that coming. Maybe it’s easier than I assume it could be.
I can’t speak for the PSP, because I don’t play it.
I only became aware of it a few years ago, when they made it public.
