Games such as Call of Duty, Halo: Infinite and Fortnite have all managed to do this. You can group us with pc players to keep things fair. I know its not for everyone, but some of us would really appreciate this.

I support it. Would probably mean less players would spend $100+ on adapters to let them use M&K ruining my ranked games

No. If you want mnk use a PC. I have a pc for games i want to use mnk on. But i do NOT want anymore mnk users in lobbies ment for controller more than already exists with ximm cheaters. Controller & mnk do not mix in fps games. I hate dealing with it in games like battlefield 2042. The ONLY way this should be allowed is if they introduced input based matchmaking in any game mnk is supported

MNK support does not mean letting people with MNK playing with people on controllers, it means that anyone with a console can input a MNK and go to the PC QUEUE without AIM ASSIST, with a LEGIT MNK
All the games that have MNK support on console and the ones that OP talked about have it

But its not solved. Player population is a consideration. Currently Pc controller users are in Pc lobbies as well. Then talking a portion of console population over as well would not be good. They would then need to enable pc players on controller to be in console lobbies which i doubt yhey would do. Then on top of that if all games did fully mix and seperate based on input method, many console players still dont want xplay with pc due to larger availability of cheats and mods in games.
Considering that another property under the same publisher does this, I really don’t think it’s too far off as a possibility.
99.999999% of this is just perception. Last gen consoles tend to be easier to mod on and cheats don’t get detected until later on in most cases.
Regardless, they can just let users opt out.
There will never be a console with the ability to use cheats on as easily as a pc thats just a fact. From racing games to shooters. Wall hacks and extreme aim bots are a simple dl away. Console main issues are the ximm and cronus users which is still a major issue but not as strong as some pc cheats. I play on both rigs & seen the diff many times. I pick & choose where i play a game based on what input i want, Cheaters ect. I really dont like the idea of forced mixed eco systems.
But on consoles, the free cheats you’re able to get tend to be undetected far more frequently than most free cheats on PC. The ones you have easy access to on PC tend to be ones that will get you banned quickly.
This is why last gen consoles tend to have faaaar more cheaters than PCs.
There are AI based aimbot that can work on any platform. Basically using a separate PC with capture card to analyze the game footage at real time, and it will send a mouse or controller input signal to the PC/console that running the game via usb. It dosent have wallhack, just aimbot.
Would be nice if people were grouped based on input device. All for consoles being able to use mouse, but should then be matched in pc pool.

Your argument is that since cheaters are exploiting lobbies meant for a certain peripheral input, that creating lobbies meant for dedicated official peripheral inputs is bad?
Realistically, this change could mean that dedicated KBM/Controller users could get paired with other dedicated KBM/Controller users regardless of console of choice, allowing for more simplistic detection of those exploiting lobbies by using peripherals they’re not meant to be using.

In casual modes it’s entirely acceptable, In competitive modes it’s definitely not unless specifically separated outside of the base segregated options.
However I do agree, there needs to be player choice including the option to opt out in the casual side of things.
