I just finished getting my Ana gold gun and it took forever. Season 12 just ended and I was expecting to get whatever amount of Comp Points but I found out they removed them. I saw the reasoning why and thought it was dumb. I get that they don’t want people to just play for their end of the season rewards, but I’m in Gold/Silver so I wasn’t getting much anyways 
The extra like 125-225 whatever amount genuinely helped speed up the process for someone who doesn’t win much games and doesn’t have much time to spare for overwatch. Please don’t tell me to “get better” because I know y’all are not siding with blizzard on this one Wasn’t it like 15 coins a win in OW1? Some peoples incentive to play is to rank up, but I just want a gold weapon because they look cool on the skins that I’m paying money for, and needing 30 wins/losses for 100 coins is insane I probably only win about 10 of those matches so walking away with 200 competitive coins after weeks of playing is so devastating I don’t even feel happy I got my Ana gold gun anymore I just feel relieved that I can take a break from ranked
don’t worry, instead of people being able to space out games over a season at their own pace where a game here and there won’t really hurt anyone they will offer like 1.5k points during the next drive event at some point in the season. You will have 60 hours to get your comp points rewards so GL with the flood of everyone all trying their best to get those points all in a single weekend.
Its obviously a way better idea.
