It’s hard to ignore all the comments bashing on their “Last Chance” video. It upsets me how bad the “Overwatch is ****” echochamber is.
I get that all the changes to the game has alienated a decent portion of the fan base, but I’m really just sick of people saying “This game is dead.” I also don’t get why these same people hang around and continue to bash the game that they “hate so bad”.
I just don’t get it, the game is meant to keep evolving with balance changes and whatnot, and with that comes some missteps. I think more communication with the fanbase who generally do care about the game could go a long way. I won’t deny the static noises at the other end.
To make myself clear, I don’t want any attention given to those make the daily post of “I quit Overwatch” (They clearly are just trying to get attention). I’m just sick of everyone blasting the people who have made such a beloved game for no reason outside of salt. But that’s the Internet for ya, it’s easy to be awful if there are little to no consequences for your actions.

Doesnt matter if you hate it, you just gave to accept the truth. Overwatch is dying.

People that want the game to be better generally complain, otherwise they wouldn’t be here. Frustrated people make exaggerated comments.

I’m okay with complaints as long as it can be deemed as helpful to the development team. I just can’t imagine being a forum moderator and seeing all this crap that they have to sweep through in order to get to actually helpful information that gets overlooked due to the load of trash posted.

Do we even have any forum moderators left or did they fire them all?

Overwatch is far from dead. It might not be the most popular game but heck, look at HotS. It’s still running. OW will be the same way. It might fall out of the limelight, OWL might shut down, but OW will still be there for a long time just trucking along.

my personal favorite are the people that keep saying not to watch OWL…because not supporting will SOMEHOW mean more attention will be given to the game…the game which needs OWL to be successful in order to grow
its the sort of logic that defies all comprehension

It’s hard to tell if they do look for information, they seem to have a list of words and topics they need to 404. On topics of balancing merit, developers answers seems few and far between. They do like to answer fluff topics though.

I don’t get that either. OWL is the biggest money maker outside of maybe lootboxes. I’m still wrapping my mind around the fact that the finals was on ESPN during primetime.

Because they invested time and money into it and want to like if not love the game. Best way to do that? Forums. Unfortunately, Blizzard isn’t giving a damn about the forums or anything so now we’re just a toxic waste dump Blizzard is cultivating with their silence and ignorance.
you must be new to the forums…its been a toxic waste dump for a looooooooong time

It’s going back to the fact that more constant communication can pat out some of these flames. I can understand the silence to a certain extent, you don’t want to post something that gets completely contradicted later. They are definitely being too cautious however.

Because the overall majority of players are upset with Overwatches state?
It isn’t an echochamber when its the vast majority who all agree that this game is in a poor state.

I think we should do a poll lol. It will probably be biased, but it wouldn’t hurt I guess.
Now now, no one hates OW, its just varying degrees of love!

The only thing about OW thats dying is it’s viewerbase, the game is boring to watch, moreso than the old days.
yeah it has, never said that it wasn’t
