I’m not gonna lie, the line up gives you all the info you need. Alos not countering with your team, tells you everything. We get it, you want to play genji but my god do it in QP
You get queued with them, so…
So true… and then we get yelled at for no heals when people are behind walls, trying to 1v5 or off in Timbucktoo crying about not being helped.
I play Lifeweaver and I get yelled at for trying to pull people away from their own stupidity. It’s so wild. XD
“One of them was almost dead!!!”
“Yeah, that ‘one’ was you, buddy.”
God its soooo annoying and I will have to say. When you play dps for a bit to, you start to hate moiras from the end of your core. Most of the time they neglect the team
Playing support AND the other roles tells you even more about it
When I play DPS, I play around cover and don’t go instantly blowing up all the time. It just feels like the natural thing to do. My supports actually have room to breathe. And speaking of them, I actually keep my ears open and peel for them when they get attacked
On tank, even though I can play quite boldly (especially on Rein), I somehow don’t come close to blowing up unless my supports are actually completely ignoring me. I’m actually able to survive long enough through positioning and ability management to give supports time to do other things for a bit. When I need heals, I don’t tend to need them immediately. I know how to buy time for a moment or two
I just wonder how teammates manage to blow up so much despite me keeping such a close eye on them (when they actually play within LOS). I really don’t seem to need that kind of attention when I play DPS or tank. And being clueless about pings and such is another issue entirely
It also makes you figure out a good support player on your team faster (esp if it’s a hero you main) and start appreciate having them more, especially when you play tank.
…But you also start becoming more critical of supports on your team making simple mistakes
Because they face tank damage and expect to have heals 24/7 on them the entire duel while missing most of their shots.
After 1,662 hrs in support, my biggest soul crushing realization is that most players have no grasp of where the other 9 players in the match are, and it’s a rare match that they even know where their own supports are.
The number of times a teammate holds their ult, but then burns it in a panic only AFTER a support has died, is uncountable. And it’s almost never a support that does this.
And this happens in masters comp matches too.
Play dps if you don’t like dps hero pick… It is why i support, I think most support players are trash. If i am good enough as support i should make the worst dps player shine, if a bad play plays support then your screwed…
I think maybe more people would if qp let them play both sides of the attack/defend maps. It’s not much fun to push cart 99% of the way to the end of Havana and see “DEFEAT” and not get a chance to play defense on the map. Ranked is just a better format, whether or not you actually play “competitively.”
Also, in my experience at least, the matchmaking is way better in ranked. So that’s probably a factor as well.
Got as mich healing as ana and still rein blames me for not healing… when hes running in alone and dies
Makes you realize how bad or selfish many support players are. So many times I end up having to solo heal because my support team decides to only DPS. No wonder we lost in the end when our tank keeps dying from lack of heals.
Wish you could report these kind of people for gameplay sabotage but sadly it’s not against ToS.
I was really hoping the update into OW2 would have had more hud elements to help people know what’s going on on the battlefield. The ping system is nice but something to help direct where your heals are coming from would have been great too.
My favourite is the fact that playing support, by the virtue of how you naturally position, allows you to see all your teammates mistakes but never your own.
I just apply MMO logic to it.
“You can’t fix stupid.”
and “If you stand in stupid, I’ll let you die.”
I and the other supp got blamed by our Doomfist, who insisted we were not healing and that’s why we were losing. Meanwhile the enemy team was mocking him in chat for going in 1v5 against them.
Yea usually I am not getting healed and the excuse is “you were too far away from the team” when 99% of the time that isn’t even the case.
Bad player talking about how players in their MMR range are bad.
How novel!
I don’t. For me teammates with suicidal tendencies is par for the course. To the point I want support with chains, so one could chain teammates and prevent them from running towards their deaths at full sprint.
You can, but usually lack power for it. And while it’s impossible to prevent teammates from making bad decisions, it’s possible to make them survive bad decisions, if you are powerful enough.
It’s a babysitter role so yeah makes sense
