…The struggle is real for those lefties playing overwatch and getting confused every time. I feel like blizzard need to add a gameplay reverse, that reverses the gameplay so that instead of (mccree) shooting with the right, mccree shoots with his left, that way lefties dont get as confused. This option is in CS:GO i think, but blizzard have thought about many things in advance like colourblindness, but they never mentioned anything about leftie gamers. I know you can play a hero as zen or tracer but people want to enjoy all the heroes. Basically if you play with your left hand the character in the game will shoot with the left, for those who chose to play with their left hand
Every other fps I play has right handed people. So even if they added the option to make the heroes leftys like me I’d never switch cause it would throw me off.
i agree, this is good idea and i think that it is not hard to do
it will bring something usefull to game, somthing people might really need and will be much better for game than all those nonsense threads that force in contenporary political agenda
I’m a lefty myself. The entire game’s control scheme can be remapped to any keys. I do not understand your conundrum. If you want to change which button does what, the game fully accommodates you. I’ve remapped all my controls as a lefty as is pretty typical for me.
Edit: Wait, are you talking about what hand the actual character’s shoot with? How in the world is that remotely an issue?
For the longest time I used my mouse righty as a lefty to. Then I swapped and now I wish I could go back. Paying 2 or 3 times more for a gaming mouse (Id there is even an equivalent being sold, lefties usually get stuck with over priced, outdated models.) compared to righties stinks.
If you’re talking about changing character graphics on screen I cannot wrap my head around that, even as a left handed player. I guess it would be ok but Id rather, imo, they spend time doing more impactful work. Just my two cents.
Im so used to focusing on the dot or keeping an eye out for inc I dont really notice anyone’s hands.
I have to say that playing Moira her animations never bothered me at all for a right hander seeing the healing being done on the left side as your primary.
Even in a game like Twilight pPincess for the gamecube/wii where the game was literally mirrored for the wii version the backwards never bothered me animation wise. Hell, I never even noticed it for the longest time.
For shooting in archery, I started out shooting right handed, the moved to left handed. It took a short of amount of time to learn, but eventually I just got used to doing it and now just stick with it.
All in all, its just something to learn or swap bindings. Hell, I play with a mouse and controller than mouse and keyboard. Completely custom controls. It was a bit awkward at first, now its just fine.
adding option to reverse it wont impact your gameplay, but it might help some people - why not?

I think they are referring to the character graphics on screen, not the actual game controls. I think. The actual game controls can all be remapped in the game menus.
I am surprised its that noticeable. I usually forget the animation on the screen as there are so many other things I am busy looking at from where is the reticle over the target, ally placement, cooldown times, ultimate charge, health bar, etc. I would feel you’d just glaze over the character model completely as its unimportant.
There are some animations that are jarring at first like Brigitte’s flail animation was quite funny the first time, but after like 15 minutes got used to it for the aforementioned things being more important and taking up my focus.
If anything, it would be really nice to have the option to remove the model on yoru screen because for some charaters like Zarya it takes up a rather decent portion of your pov for stuff like reloads.
