Playing dps is an absolutely horrible experience unless you play strong poke heroes. Every other pick besides ranged hitscans just feels extremely underwhelming and feels like you have to put in twice the effort just to be on an even playing field with these abominations. Those season 9 hitbox changes need to be reverted on every single hitscan hero immediately. I genuinely only notice the hitbox revert while playing genji when I duel hitscans because ill be trying to poke with primary fire before I engage, missing some shots bc genji primary is a joke, and just get railed by non stop headshots because these hs players JUST DO NOT MISS. Im in plat elo, I know these guys are not very good at the game, but the fact that they are shooting hitscan beachballs across the map just makes it impossible for these goobers to miss. It makes playing flex dps(my main role) so obnoxious to play that I dont even bother playing this game unless im running some qp with my ps5 homies for fun. And before the hitscan defenders come at me talking about “hurr durr ma aim skillz” anyone with mediocre aim can play hitscan and probably climb to diamond half asleep. Your role doesnt take skill anymore. Not until those hitboxes get reverted to pre season 9.
Tldr: Hitscan dps has become far too easy while also being the strongest dps class and it makes the game terrible for people who dont want to be forced to play pokeslop every game to get value.
But how will they keep milking casuals if they dont give them a falsely inflated sense of being good at the game? Didnt you hear, we went from Overwatch to Overwatch 2 to our current, new improved version of the game: Participation Trophywatch.
Everyone is good at the game now that aiming and mechanical skill have been nerfed, as well as all of the new low skill heros and matchmaking that forces a 50/50 win/ loss ratio. Wow, what great choices theyve made to take the best competitive FPS ever created and turn it into a mobile game for babies.

OW is a lot more then cod “I saw you first so I win” logic. To actually git gud at the game you need to know when and where to position, how most hero matchup’s work, actually take advantage of your tank and support tools. And make sure your alive to actually do your job at the right times.
That and god forbid play more then 1 hero. And for that other hero to not be in same architype as your main, so your not just countered by the same bunch when you do switch.
Can’t tell you how many hogs, also play ball or mauga. Then get mad when a half decent ana is in play.
Soj is almost always gonna be negative for two reasons. People crutch on her to get higher than they should be (Super common in high elo) and people swap to her in games they’re already losing.
She’s the strongest Poke hero in the game, it’s not really up for debate.
I still see more players running Bastion into losing games, than I see Sojourn - even in the higher ranks.
It’s not like she doesn’t have anything going for her, I just don’t see her winning games, and I’m not sure why; and I doubt it has anything to do with mid-game switch-ups. I still saw more Freja in OWCS than Sojourn, too. Same with Cassidy.
Bastion is a common pick right now for sure due to him being meta, but I see Soj more often in Masters-GM. Bastion is honestly just banned a lot too
OWCS meta just isn’t the same, that’s the thing. The easiest way to beat Soj is coordinating a hard dive on her, which is child’s play in scrims. Soj is fairly squishy, and while that might not matter for ladder, it does for scrims. Freja is also squishy but it’s MUCH easier to escape a dive on her because she has three separate mobility cooldowns and Soj only has one.
You see Cree more in OWCS because he’s sturdy and consistent. He also tends to operate around the same range as a Rush or Dive team, so people run him in or into those comps more than the sniper hitscans

Yeah, he’s very flexible and easy to work with. Plus he’s great at shutting down some mobility.
Right, but it’s really showing up in ladder too. Sojourn gets some points up the higher you go, but still not really winning many games; I would attribute this towards her low health, but I think there’s something else, I just don’t know what it is right now.
Of course. That being said though, it is actually pretty easy to Dive Cree as well. It’s more risky, but you can do it
I’m not really seeing it on ladder at all. Hell, I actually just did a stream playing only Sojourn. It’s a new account and unplaced, but we won 9 in a row with me getting play every time. Just very consistent wins even though my other DPS was playing from EU and on 200ish ping.
Soj definitely wins a lot of games. I just don’t think it reflects in her winrate due to the reasons stated earlier
REAL and bliz decided to buff her range for whatever reason like she already doesnt have a great tool to escape divers w coach gun and easy aim w her beach ball bullets
