Matchmaking, no real PVE, overall hero balancing, push mode,… there are so many reasons.
If you want to focus on Hanzo thats ok, but it’s def. not THE ONE reason

It is! i uninstalled the game because of the atrocious balancing but more importantly i’m beyond sick and tired of hanzo and widowmaker!

It must be because of his stupid voicelines.
Especially that one response to Ramattra:
R: Is that… Is that a bow and arrow?
H: Yes
R: Are firearms not to your taste?
H: They make killing too simple.
The writer never played this game obviously.

I quit OW2 because of community toxicity, Hanzo had 0 part in it.

i do really hate hanzo nowadays but i dont think this is a major reason lol.
that hero tho… man i hate him so much recently. hes like the new roadhog, once in a while i get one-shotted from out of nowhere. roadhog was worse but i would say hanzo comes close.
i never had a problem with widow but i am sure in the highest elos shes like roadhog

The playerbase is declining because of an A tier character that can only be played really well by incredibly good players?
Moira is more likely to be the reason than Hanzo.

I only play Hanzo when I have to deal with Mercy damage beam heroes and put them in their place so…
I just duo with my friend and abuse the mechanic the defenders are abusing.
As soon as they lose mercy beam and have an identity crisis they arent so good at the game anymore. 
It’s point and shoot, the only additional complications in shooters are prediction/ projectile speed/ distance and flinch when these are features.

I can’t aim for **** against flying heroes even with hitscan.
I mean, listen I hate Hanzo as much as the next guy but I feel like there’s a bunch of other reasons that the playerbase is declining and Hanzo is likely one of the lesser offensive ones.

But you have to actually aim and get at least a few consecutive hits in most cases.
how many left because of hanzo? a couple of thousands? maybe 50 thousand? we are still far of the 2-3 millions brig kicked out of the game.
seriously though, mercy is probably the only hero currently that makes people quit. not hanzo. still there is no comparison between a hero and balance, or competitive state, or pve.
