This is abused when it seem like a team is going to lose. So the Team wont lose anyways and the match is cancelled.
Why is it possible to do that it is happening again and again…

You are mistaken.
The player that leaves gets suspended from playing and gets banned if it happens regularly.
These are more than likely unplanned disconnects, which are pretty common after patches that can cause instability.

Its true they get suspended. But it is abused
Its a way to help your teammate or your whole team if you can see from start that you are going to lose the match.
People are leaving and rejoining 1 sec later again because it seem they are going to lose.
How can it seem like you’re going to lose. It’s literally first fight.

A player didn’t choose a hero within 45 seconds of the beginning of the match, hence you were playing 5v4, ofc you seem to win 5v4, hence the match is canceled because one player was afk.
If one team is really stomping the other team, there is as team wipe, one player is afk,
one base is taken very fast. And similar scenarios where there seem to be a big difference in the 2 teams competing.
I dont know about higher ranked teams but in the lower ranks it happen quite often…
I played a match last night. We started on attack, we were getting smashed to bits. Couldn’t even get to point.
10 seconds remaining they wiff and ult and we cap… Manage to then push to the end with lots of time to spare and end up winning 3-2.
Games never lost that early.
Happen in all ranks. Even pro level. It’s almost always due to mistakes (or good plays) from the players in the lobby. Not some miss match.

I agree Games are never lost early.
But i dont think all people think like that especially not lower ranks.
Like i said allmost every time someone is “leaving” or disconnect early in the match
its done when it “Seem” like that you are losing. It happened 3 times this morning to me.
We get a really good start and someone leaves and the whole match is cancelled.
Also if somemone decides to leave in the first 60 or so seconds of the match the whole match is cancelled. Thats a bad mechanic i think nomatter what.
This is people getting disconnected. It happens.
Stop stressing. People are not throwing their own accounts away to make sure randoms on their team don’t lose SR.

idk man thats the one thing thats good about comp, games getting cancelled for a leaver without you being punished for being unlucky getting them in your team. Usually they wait for the cooldown to pass, then leave so you lose your sr while they get a 10 min ban and rinse and repeat that for two hours or so. if anything they should cancel every game with a leaver and just hike up the timed ban so people will lose interest in throwing matches with leaving.
Dude you aren’t getting penalized at all when the match gets cancelled, just requeue, wait the 60-80 seconds to get into a new match and play that one 
Besides I’m willing to say that 90% of the time that a match is cancelled is because of a disconnect or someone had to leave, not because they’re trying to avoid a team
The inverse of this is "Match just started and my teammate left the match and the match isn’t cancelled Why!
Overall it benefits everyone, in most cases. It would be a really pathetic and inefficient way to gain rank having one of your group drop from the match in the first minute if you think your team is bad.

This feature is very much needed to stop you losing just because someone DC’d or went AFK whilst queuing. It makes no sense that someone ascertains the match is a lost cause so quickly so opts to get suspended to end the match.

Yeah but I’ve also seen it happen way past 60 secounds the games so inconsistent with it. Enemy team caps or push’s a little we get a leaver game carry’s on. But if your team pushes it and they leave seems like match cancels it feels like always against you
