I placed 3100 on DPS in the beta with a record of 1-4. I performed average at best.
In season 18 I placed 2950 even though i won all 5 placements and had gold medals in elims and/or damage every time. I thought I performed rather well, K/D was excellent.

What was your Sr at the end of the beta season?
Roughly 2900. Why? For all other placements, it would basically just take my old SR and add the win/loss of the placements on to it. With that logic, I should be at least 3000.
Just thinking your ending SR for beta matters more for where you place for season18 than where you placed at start of beta. Does seem a bit odd you won more than most and placed a bit lower than you left off. Don’t think that would have happened before role queue, at least hasn’t to me.

It is what it is. If you deserve the higher rank and have always been there, then play a bunch more games (maybe 20 or 40 or so) and you’ll get your old SR back.
Climbing is a marathon, not a sprint. You’ll go up and you’ll go down with time. Don’t worry about the short term trends too much.
This is why past SR should not be suck a factor when you do placements. It should be on you performance during placements compared to the performance and SR of the people you are playing with. The same thing happened to me.
