I placed gold 2 after winning all my placements, in ow1 I was consistently placing and staying plat/diamond. Was there a mmr reset or does it have something to do with accounts merging?
soft reset I think. You will climb
you will climb easy, i was placed silver 5 and climbed to gold 5 in one rank up
i got placed in bronze 1 and i was in diamond lmfao
So I was hard stuck in OW1 assumed it was just cause I was learning the game and I had high hopes for OW2. I played on a buddies account at his house a couple of times and he was ranked diamond and i did just fine. Now in OW2 I am constantly contending for highest healing and dps in majority of my games as well as filling in the IGL role to help with players that seem a little lost or new to the game. I have initially ranked bronze but rather than get upset I accepted the challenge and wanted to see what my rank would be after the next 7 wins or 20 losses. After completeing an addition 7 wins I was once again solidified as a bronze 5. I have a positive win loss ratio and my stats are always towards the top of the leaderboards am i missing something? I am genuinely confused. Any incite as to why im not ranking up? I vod review Im constantly trying to change my play style. Tryin to IGL and make calls trying to sit back and ping.
I never played comp with DPS in OW1 but still I absolutely rolled my 7 placement games, usually around 35 elims, half the POTGs, always top frag and only 2 losses (one leaver and a koth map where I finished with 50 elims.) Guess what? Bronze 5. Like what am I meant to have done differently
Not sure I even wanna touch my ex diamond support until things even out
Edit: Silver 3 now. That’s something I guess.
its a bad idea to play comp right now. many former GM and Pro players have placed Plat and Diamond. Former Plat players are now in silver. So guess what, what if you play right now you’re going against people punching above their weight. Think you can climb out of Gold? Not with diamond players in there right now smashing people up. Wait it out and let the real ranks settle in.
They changed the way points and ladder work. Emong, who finished as #10 in tanks for final OW1 ladder, played with a full 5 stack for his placements in OW2 and finished “Masters.” I haven’t seen any of the “Pros” be started in Grand Master or Top 500 yet.
