There’s clearly something wrong with your placement system, and I think it’s pretty obvious. Today, in Competitive, the other DPS doing their placement matches with me (expected rank: Diamond 3) was a smurf OTP Torbjörn with 0% accuracy, who completed the 50 wins required to unlock Competitive by using only his hammer without firing a single shot.
Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else? Needless to say, we lost the game.

This sounds like a deranking situation to then sell the account. I’d suggest reporting them in the cheating>boosting/deranking category. Enough of those and the account will be nuked 
Ridiculous? No.
It’s either someone trying to make the account low, or they are trying to complete a personal challenge.
They still won 50 games in the end and will be placed accordingly. If they are in your games, that should ring alarm bells.
How’s someone who’s barely playing the game, still able to get to the same rank as you when you’re trying. I’d take that as a sign I need to improve.
