Hi i played only 1 of my placement games last season on a brand new account which I won and then this season actually finished the placements with 4 out 5 wins but got placed in mid plat. Should not be the case considering I won 5-6 games
Did you complete any seasons prior to those two seasons? If so your hidden matchmaking rating carries over and what you finished in prior seasons will rollover into the current. There are no MMR resets.

Hello. me and my friend played 6v6 competitive elimination.placements and we won 9 out of 10 placements and i have good stats.my friend got alot higher rank than me.he is 3030sr and i got 2123.i really think this is some kind mistake or bug.and i would like to get increased my rank almost at the same sr than my friend is. we played all games together.
and played one game at season 1 so i dont think that would affect my rank and i won it
