Placed on the incorrect server - US high latency Feb/7/2019

Having the same issues others have described. I usually get around 30ms, but I am currently getting 260ms.

I am in San Diego, CA but am being connected to the PSE2 server instead of my usual LAX1.

We just made some changes to this a little while ago. Anybody still having issues connecting to the wrong server in US? If so, can you submit fresh WinMTRs to ORD1 and LAX1? Instructions for that are in this post.

Same here, it started yesterday, the game was unplayable. It stills remains today on a much lower scale. It was difficult to relate this problem to the internet since the ping only rose from 20 to around 55.

When I first started the game up it connected me to pse1 for some reason and I had about 300ms ping. I restarted the game to and then it connected me to lax1 so it seems to be fixed now. Thanks!

PlayStation 4 here.
I’ve heard word from over 30 people that they have been put into the wrong server while playing.
All are meant to be NA, being placed in EU servers instead.
Latency is significantly higher, games take over 16 minutes for competitive, and the language is completely different in those games (German for a lot of them)
Same thing for quick play, we have to make pug matches just to get regular latency.
I personally get kicked from the game constantly since the update and my latency has been 84 but most players get 140-200 and up. Average latency should be about 39.
Please help us fellow ps4 players as there’s not much we can do to resolve this issue.

To clarify for a couple people who might have been confused as I was on the directions for the diagnostic test, NA player being matched in SA servers - #4 by Kaedi-11739
This post explains how to download WinMTR and how to find the in-game IP for the diagnostic test in greater detail. The first test you need to do uses the ingame IP through the steps listed in the post I linked.

The second test needs to be done with the IPs listed by the Blizz tech support in one of the earlier posts. ord1 is for people by Chicago, lax1 for people closer to LA, sae1 is South America, pse1 is Singapore. There are other forum posts for people having issues in Canada and Europe and their respected servers as well that have been previously linked by Blizz tech support. The comparison gives Blizz data on what the servers are actually doing versus what they should be doing and will help them resolve the issue. Hope this helps.

I posted about this before. I am East Coast, was getting placed into SAC1 with 200 ping, now I am still getting 100+ ping (usually 20) and getting placed in CDG1. It’s utterly impossible for me to play like this.

There’s a huge thread about this where tech support was gathering data from players to find the cause. They’re working on it.

Hey all,

This issue was closed due to lack of reports and us confirming on our end that the routing issue was largely if not completely resolved. Going forward, we’ll need to either split this into individual issues, or if we find that specific ISPs are having issues, we’ll get you into threads for that problem.

The tests in this thread since my last request show issues outside of our control. If you continue to have this problem, let’s have you post your own thread with your winMTR tests and let us know what you’ve tried.
