This is the proper way to HANDLE your “BUSSINESS-IMAGE” blizzard.
Blizzard is donating 1 millions of dolars to charity to fight againts breast cancer. Jeff-Kaplan will donate 500k dolars of his own wallet and will go share time with the people there.(Of course blizzard will donate these 500k not jeff but you need to say that to generate more impact)
Blizzard will create a Mercy-Skin for a price of $5 USD with a option to buy to $15 USD with some extra-stuff
With this your reputation will look good and your playerbase will be happy.
Why your marketing-departament INSIST in kill your reputation, insist in make you look bad and insist in make rage your community?

Is this another “FIFTEEN IS TOO MUCH MAKE IT FIVE BECAUSE I AM A CHEAP LOUSE THAT HATES CHARITY” post?
Unless you’re willing to financially ensure they sell 3 times as many skins to make the same amount for…again A BLEEDIN’ CHARITY, then fine. But no, you’re cheap, entitled, and disgustingly pathetic.

I believe their real purpose is to do behavioral training of the community. If they are changing the way lootboxes work they may not get as much income from lootboxes. So, they may have to rely on people purchasing cosmetic items. By starting everything off with a charity item they are conditioning the behavior of the community to think it’s ok to pay 5 or 10 USD for a skin in the future, because at least that is lower than the 15 USD you paid for the Mercy skin.
I believe they are doing this charitable stunt to train us to give them more money for skins in the future…

Im getting tired of this kind of threads “15 is too much for a skin!” sorry its for charity, I did not have money my self, will get money in a couple weeks however someone was kind enough to give me 25 bucks (friend of mine) i used those to both buy the skin and donate in stream.
As a matter of fact i am doing some small work atm (cutting grass and washing cars) to get more money to donate cause the charity deserves more than 15 bucks out of me.

Why can’t y’all just let Blizzard do an act of Charity? Honestly, it’s going to a good cause. Please stop whining about it, they didn’t have to do this at all.

The real problem is that you cannot buy the sprays for another $5 or whatever, but instead have to sell your personal info to the pos 3rd party company Amazon.
This is the lowest Blizzard could go.
How so? you can creaate a twitch acount with false info and just link to your bnet account, get the sprays and icons then unlink the fake twitch account.
How is them donating 100% of the proceeds from offering a limited-time item to fund breast cancer research killing their reputation?
Because Blizzard is evil and they wont give me the skin for free or for a pay what you want price (1 penny!) they are so greedy its so expensive, please Blizzard give me the skin for free.

Amazon will still know your battlenet ID after that and all other info they get from Blizzard to that, such as name/game habits/info etc, who knows.
If something is “free”, you are the product.
Rage has blinded you to reality my friend.
Then that’s the price for the spray and icon. You can choose not to “buy” it.
As I wrote: I would certainly like to pay extra for it! Just not give Amazon my personal battlenet info. But of course I would pay Blizzard, as usual, for it, np.
Forcing us to sell out our personal info to some 3rd party company like that is just disgusting. Just take my money and give me the stuff, easy enough.
You don’t have spellcheck? Mine is baked right into the forum interface.
Don’t forget your tinfoil hat.
