I want to prioritize the objective, but you want to tell my overextended teammate 7 years away to come to me for healing, or you want me to ping an enemy even further that we all can see through walls, OR you want me to ping the healthpack between me and the point on Nepal Sanctum.
Please just fix so the few of us left here who are objective/win condition obsessed can safely also stress out our teammates by spamming that the objective needs attention or they’re about to back-cap.
I think, I could be wrong, that there’s a “sensitivity” setting for pinging. Where when you reduce the sensitivity, it makes the requirement to ping something more precise. This will make it harder to land, but can help avoid it pinging something you weren’t even trying to aim at.
That wouldn’t matter, because some/many things are in straight lines.
For example, if you have a dive tank but the objective marker is directly between you, what should it ping? Do I have to traverse 4 angles just so I can safely ping the objective alone, and what would my positioning be like if that were the case? Also, if the tank has enough health it’ll ignore the tank and just ping the objective.
Say I’m Ana and I died on point to a flanker, but our team is bolstered and tunnelling deep. I want to ping the point, but from the spawn I can only ping the Nepal health pack, or tell our tank or someone to come to me for healing, or what have you.
I guess what I’d like is an option to prioritize the objective, which is the most important thing (imo) in this objective-based game.
Yeah, like when I try to ping the widowmaker up on the ledge and my character just says “over there!”, and widow moves and then my team looks at a blank area, then they look at me and I can see all the question marks over their heads…
“I swear, I’m not crazy guys, she was JUST there!”
