I’ve played beta 1 on pc and beta 2 on console. I loved pinging with a simple click on pc beta l, but on console if you move the right analog while you hit ping it brings up the menu. Is there a way to bing it to always do a simple ping without bringing up a menu? Iirc on pc you can be looking around and still do a general ping without it trying to open the ping menu
I can’t check what my settings were on pc because I’m no longer in that beta
You can do a fast ping by quickly tapping the button on which the wheel has been assigned
If you hold down the right stick while you click it then it pulls up the wheel in my experience. This makes it awkward to ping since I generally am moving my right stick
Unfortunately, the ping system is of limited use on consoles. It can work, but needs to be more context sensitive. Half the time I’ll ping an enemy and it says “look there” instead of “Reaper there”.
For me on ps4 the default is dpad right. Hold dpad right and it brings up the menu, quick tap it while looking at something it will do the context ping. Works really well for me, not sure why it doesn’t for you?
That part can be adjusted. There is a sensitivity slider
