I was excited to try the Lucio hero mastery, I don’t really care about the others. For some reason no matter what I do, I get ~90ms-~120ms as my ping, but ONLY in hero mastery. A regular game has me within ~30ms-~40ms, which is normal for me.
I’ve reset my router. Restarted my computer. Tried tethering the WiFi connection through my phone and even tried using a mobile data hotspot as a last resort, but the results are the same. A normal game with other players gives me normal ping of ~30ms, while hero mastery has me lagging with ping spikes unable to properly play the hero (since the lag makes me shoot downwards to the ground while trying to wallride).
Doing a speed test, my download speed is 530mbps and my ping 21ms, so I’m really not sure what the issue is and why it’s affecting hero mastery only, a solo game mode. Been looking forward to the Lucio one, so I’m a little bummed out. Any help in figuring this out is appreciated.
