So this is a bug or theres something im not understanding…
i bound my ping button to L-Alt…but pressing the button does nothing (sometimes)…on some matches it decides to actually work…but usually it does nothing

Did you make the change universally, or for individual characters? If you did it universally for all characters, the binding change will not work for any characters that have other key binds changed in any way.
hmm…ill check but im pretty sure it was universal
edit - definitely universal…im talking about the “ping - in world” setting if that makes a difference…i dont use that button on any heroes for anything else
Check individual characters to see if the universal change went through. I had some characters with specific button assignments unique to them. Universal changes won’t apply to them now and I have to go change them individually.
Might be the source of your issue.
Edut: also vaguely recall the ping function not liking some assignments when I played in beta. You may have to try a different button.

so i went through each hero and 3 had a different setting…ashe, sojourn and kiriko…why? i have no idea
