Fix roadhog. his damage is alright, albeit a bit scuffed at the moment, but his hook is the real issue. Right now, his hook is an auto kill on everyone it grabs, doesn’t matter who it is tank support or dps. anyone who gets yoinked into his fat face dies. Personally i think you should remove the stun from the hook, allow players to respond to the hook instead of it feeling bad to play against the fat rat of a hog. It would make his gameplay feel more rewarding instead of the brain dead strat of just fish for literally anyone, now he would have to watch and think “did that ana use sleep so i can grab her? or did the brig brain dead bash so i can punish that?” Now, it doesnt matter how well you play cos hog will rip you apart without having to care about what you used or anything else. Fix this, NOW PLEASE.

because for the past 2 years, he hasn’t been shoved down my throat constantly and ripping through everything on my team with the fury of an unchecked gonorrhea infection
hook has around 40 counters, learn to use them, or you could just complain on the forums i guess that is the better choice
If your team swaps to an Ana you are basically deleting Hog from the game.
Nade and sleep makes his entire kit useless.

okay well first of all team work and game sense, then there is shields, bubbles and any cc ability, ice wall, bubbles, corners, between the 2 of them zarya and orisa have 5 different ways to counter hook and that is just 2 characters, considering how many characters are in the game that is more than enough to counter hook
how many cc abilities are there in the game? because all of them can counter hook, also deflect and most movement abilities

Boulder, Sleepdart, Hook, Flashbang, Deflect, Matrix, Grasp from sigma, zarya bubble, mei’s wall, Boop, flail in face, Doomfist punch, Junkrat’s mines, … All this, maybe more will prevent your “autokill”…
I think removing the stun from the hook and making it similar to orisa pull but on a single target would be best. Hog cant just fish, grab literally anyone, and confirm a kill. He would have to make sure they dont have their cool downs to counter it
You cannot get control of your character fast enough to respond to his kill combo on any character under 400 hp to do any of those

you do know a bunch of these cannot be activated when youre in stun from hook.
The damage in the combo now it’s too much, If you ask me with the double shield/brig gone it’s enough to make Road more viable and if they want to buff his damage, just buff his right click damage…less of what players don’t want/feel opressed.
I suppose you did specify hook counters… what I pasted was counters in general.
Why are worrying about after being hooked? Learn to dodge / avoid or counter hook with movement abilities, defensive’s or knock-back’s. Or even just going behind a wall in general and making the Hog lose LoS.
Is there much you can do after being hooked? No, not really it’s kind of gone back from what I’ve seen / read to being a death sentence like it was back in like Season 3?
Do I think it should get nerfed because of this? No. Hook hasn’t needed nerfing until now nor do I think buffing Hog’s DMG should require it to get nerfing either. Cause overall very little has changed besides the consistency of him getting the kills is just higher.
The best advice honestly I can give, is to play some Hog yourself. Playing him will allow you to get a feel of the distance of the hook and overall you should be able to more easily counter it when playing against him.
Well then don’t get hooked.
Why is the one-hit kill after a hook such a big deal? It’s only a big deal for all the heroes with extremely powerful escape abilities like Wraith or Fade or deflect, you have to kill them immediately after the hook otherwise they escape.
You just have to use those abilities before you are hooked.
Yes, there are some heroes that cannot use their abilities to stop a hook, like Sig’s KG. But Sig can survive a shot after being hooked.
Lets go through the squishy heroes:
- Ashe = Coach gun is a very fast movement ability that is very hard to predict
- Bastion = okay bastion is screwed we’ll come back to this robot
- Doomfist = lots of fast movement options to dodge the hook
- Echo = use your mobility to stay out of range
- Genji = deflect blocks hook
- Hanzo = LEAP
- Junkrat = mine LEAP
- McCree = ROLL
- Mei = Ice block to avoid being hooked
- Pharah = same as echo
- Reaper = Wraith to avoid being hooked
- Soldier = turn + sprint jump combo to avoid being hooked
- Sombra = translocator to avoid being hooked
- Symm = I’ve got no excuses for her
- Torb = Can’t really escape but can activate Overload before to survive the post-hook shot
- Tracer = blink or recall
- Widowmaker = use your range advantage to stay out of hook range
- Ana = another sniper who should use range advantage or counter-sleep dart
- Baptiste = charge super jump when around RH
- Brig = block hook with barrier
- Lucio = wall run to be a hard target
- Mercy = GA more
- Moira = fade to counter being hooked
- Zen = I got no excuses, Zen is screwed if he’s within 20m of Roadhog.
Roadhog isn’t an unsolvable problem, everyone who is seriously affected by Roadhog does have some means of fighting back. Only 3 heroes are really screwed

these heroes need to be buffed, it’s that simple.
Symm needs some quick escape option and I think that option should be the ability to instantly teleport to either of her teleporters without needing to stand on a teleporter, she can just look in the direction of her teleporter (even through a wall) and press F to instantly teleport to it.
Hook is so devastating to bastion as it instantly and automatically transforms bastion into recon mode. There is no particular need for this, it’s far less of an exception to just move bastion towards roadhog keeping bastion in sentry mode than the insta-transformation to recon which just looks terrible. Why is bastion slow to transform into recon except when he’s damaged by a hook? Roadhog could still destroy sentry with the right combo.
I don’t know what to do with zen, something like the immunity of his ultimate. Maybe a passive ability to quickly levitate up into the air.
