I main Kiriko and Juno and loathe seeing Mercy as my co-support. I just know that they’re never going to switch and will blame me even when I try to switch to another support to make their pick work.

As a person with not that fast internet - I don´t agree with the logic “who picks first - decides”.
Nope, we have like 30 seconds to adjust our group.
When you main yes you absolutely can you’ll just switch regardless there’s no such thing as “hard maning” you’ll begrudgingly switch or you won’t.

I doN’t hate Lifeweaver & Mercy because they are bad picks.
I HATE having passive supports in 5v5. Its horrendous. 1 is bad enough, but 2? Holy **** its dreadful. Especially as a DPS.
Its OW2. Supports should be doing something. The passive supports are some of the whiniest too, while they stick to our tank and no one can take any angle because I have 4 DPS to deal with and our supports aren’t doing ****.

Unless it’s the broken hero. If someone locks Juno and you lock mercy zen idk man maybe pick a support that keeps the Juno alive and she’ll keep everyone alive.
Same with mauga back when he was broken ofc
Yea I play to win so I’m playing more Brig than Lucio with how often Juno is played

Passive healbotting is annoying.
I’ve had games where a mercy had 0 dmg done and games where a lifeweaver had barely 500.
Losses all of those.
A good support knows that they must support with bullets when they can. If nothing else than taking potshots at a group of enemies, spooking someone away from a flank and such.
Or even meleeing a 20 hp enemy right in their face instead of just blindly healbotting.
You have to realize as a support we get “complained” at whether we over dps or under dps while healing as well. You can never win with some people they will nit-pick every little thing and blame someone else. It bothers me when a dps who is horribly negative, both in k/d and how they act starts crap talking people…
To be honest? I think most ACTUALLY know this but can’t throw out damage sometimes because of certain people on the team who just are allergic to not using walls, or ways to not constantly take damage so it becomes a situation of heal spamming people to keep them alive or hear them rage all game because they aren’t being healed enough while we “try” to slip in some damage and they insta die because we didn’t stare at them.

last season i only played mercy and my brother lifeweaver and we only got compliments, like “love you supports” ect, i love this duo because we only focus on our teammates and dont take any glory away from our dps by stealing their kills, but now i play juno so unfortunately i throw some damage in there now.

Mercy/Lifeweaver is a great combo and I don’t care what anyone says. In one of the groups I play with, I solely play Mercy and the other Support is a hardcore Lifeweaver OTP. No one ever complains about a lack of healing lol.
